I had a severe brain trauma by way of a car accident. This was compounded seven years later when I fell again and broke my neck. In the first TBI, my doctor suggested Jill‘s book. I couldn’t read at the time so I got it on audio. it changed my life because it helped me understand how my brain was working and opened up my curiosity that has continued on how the brain works. I work in addictions and have been able to have better understanding of the neurological route of addictions. I am so gratefulfor this teacher in my life. Please make sure she hears my gratitude.

Jill's story and work is vital for humanity to understand how their own brains work! I took a class from Jill, and she is presently working to get this into the schools❤ So happy it has helped you so much. Sending love!

Have you looked into HBOT? (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) It has shown promising results for TBI, Stroke, and many other conditions. But you would be better looking into independant clinics specializing in HBOT treatments and not hospitals, they mostly still use Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment for burns, wounds, etc. The clinics are constantly updating with new research. Many of these clinics have information videos on KZbin. Go to KZbin and type in 'HBOT TBI' and you should come up with plenty of information. There are clinics all over the country

I am 77 now. About 45 i started with headaches Then memories started coming back. I remember sitting in a rocking chair hanging on to a huge stuffed bear and rocking for hours as i worked thru early childhood memories. I am WELL aware of my #2, whose name was the one given me during those early years, Maizy Had a friend in school who was Sharp as a tack! No one i have met since has had that kind of focus - Olivia. (#1) The trauma i went thru created all kinds of splits. The one who was creative, - and squashed by my mother! - was Sally. I have NO Idea where Most of those IFS names Came from! but i still use them for those who have yet to become part if the whole. THIS way of dealing with all the mental chaaaaaatter they feel Very comfortable with! Such Great Tools! Thank you Suzanne for having Jill on the show!!!

Thank you for this conversation! Her approach reminds me of Transactional Analysis - I relate character 1 to the 'Parent' concept, characters 2 and 3 to the 'Child' and character 4 to the 'Adult'. Having a framework for dealing with interactions, in the moment or on reflection, has helped me so much over the years. It's good to now have awareness of the anatomical structure in relation to these states of mind.

Once again what a wonderful job Suzanne. Thank you for your continued service! May I digress a little from the current topic and ask if you would be interested in creating a #globalmeditationmoment, if a specific date and time were set up that everyone who wishes could participate. And if the message was spread through out all the popular podcasts like yours, and ie. NLS, and through out the whole of the spiritual community, we could gather a significant number of people. At that exact moment we all pause and hold a feeling of complete Love for one another and all creation. I believe it could prove to be very powerful. Also it does not have to be a one time event, I could see it continually gaining momentum. It just needs co-ordination.

Jill's voice itself is so energetic and excitable in her expressions. I wonder (out of curiosity) if someone who knew her prior to the incident is the same voice she had prior to the injury? Does the brain recognize the way the voice had previously expressed itself?

❤ I am excited to buy your book. I have a question/request. Is it possible to do a show on parents who have special needs kids. I'm not talking about the peaceful, lost in their own world, blissful kids. I'm talking the ugly stuff... poop flinging, almost 7 years old obviously can't potty train.... screaming all the time .... clearly very uncomfortable and can't communicate with anyone. The child who is so upset and self driven that bites and scratches herself and others because she's not allowed to eat an entire box of cookies all the time, or a coin, or can't go outside barefoot when there's glass or other dangerous things on the road but doesn't understand why. The child who gets up every night at 3:30am to scream until 6am. I'm talking the desperation in a momma 24-7 who just wants to love but can't understand herself. I do understand the Big picture stuff ... there's a reason.... and all that... but how do I meditate when I can't concentrate with all the screaming? And also cannot step away because a child cannot be left unsupervised for a second and who has no real support system. What advice would you give that mother? advice that isn't the typical "there's a reason for everything" ((which I get but how do I make this human experience better for everyone in my family?))... how do you grin and bear it when you're the one out in the battlefield just barely holding on?? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I really do enjoy your videos (when I can listen 😅 usually after everyone has finally fallen asleep).

@ madelinemelocriollo1092 Do you have a partner? Are they supportive enough to give you some time to yourself? If not, do you have a relative or friend who can help out and give you a reprieve for an hour or two here and there or on a daily basis? If not, can you afford to hire someone to do that? The next question is can you “let go” enough, for that length of time and trust everything will be ok for an hour or two? That you deserve to take time out for yourself to reset and recharge? That the world will not cave in, if you are not there for them briefly? It might be challenging, it might be uncomfortable…for both of you…but it’s essential you find a way to do it. (I have 2 children on the Autistic spectrum, now fully grown. 32 & 40. I understand) I am 65.

Thank you all for replying. I guess what I am really looking for is the same kind of closure or something outside of this matrix that can feel magical. Like when someone loses a loved one or a pet they care so much about and Suzanne gives them that comfort that there really is no end .... like what would my daughter say to me that would blow me away. You know what.... I guess it's just silly.... I'm going to have to just grin and bear it. Understand that it is what it is etc etc .... Just hoping for a message from the higher selves of these kids ... especially the ones that are not happy, and are clearly uncomfortable and self injurious. I have 3 special needs kids, by the way all ranging from mild to severely autistic and the ages are 6,12 and almost 18. I am not a newbie to this life ... I guess I just wanted to hear something mystical or like a glimpse of the beyond that would make this life make sense. I get all the human part of things and my children bring me joy too and they're so beautiful but I don't understand so much and very obviously I have to live forever because I am the caregiver. Thank you all for your time and love.... I was just hoping to hear from Sanaya or one of the guides.

The thing is that consciousness exists before and after the mind-body incarnation, beyond the brain, so I am suspicious about character 4 being the same as a spiritual experience although that is probably where people reside when they have one, where they have to reside to open to it, as the other characters are barriers to it. Character 2 deals with the same content as we experience in our life review but the approach is completely outside of the character 2 stance. Also, in NDE or Spiritual Experience character 3 never exists outside of character 4. In NDE or Spiritual Experience, character 1 is reduced to being a navigation device or focusing tool.
@gdr556 ай бұрын
What she is talking about kind of reminds me of Ralph Ellisons book, Minds in Many Pieces. Otherwise known as Multiple personality disorder. But Dr Ellison in his work with his client came to recognise that their were also two spirit helpers who he would communicate with also. “ All multiple personality patients have an original personality that emerges at birth. This personality, actually a collection of thoughts, memories, and behaviour patterns, develops and cahnges as a result of the childs experiences. In normal people, this personality remains whole and defines them and contributes to their uniqueness. In multiple personalities, this original personality splinters into others.” Dr R Ellison. Because he claimed to be speaking to spirit helpers he was ostracized by the scientific and medical community.
