She is not a good mom, but she is not the worst mom. She is neglectful and an alcoholic and she tries too hard to be her daughter's friend instead of being a mom. However she has her positives: she was supportive of Lexi's creativity, Cassie through her abortion, she didn't judge Rue who was struggling with addiction and still called her a "good girl". Not to mention, she was the parent who stayed.
