Suze is a cool mom and she never flipped when her daughters needed help (e.g. Cassie's abortion), but she's a bit too cool. Her drinking habit is so triggering, and Maddie's party was such a flop. My mom also let me and my friends have the occasional beer, glass of wine when we were in high school, but that is way over the top. No healthy boundaries there at all...

One thing i like about Suz is alot of parents wouldnt let their kid hang with a friend whos been to Rehab. She just asks Rue how it was because she knows Rue, she trusts and knows her daughters so she doesnt judge or stop Lexie from seeing Rue. We also saw in the flashback how she was there for Rues mom during the funeral. She may not be perfect but shes knows whats going on more than most.

Having friends like her is just an open door for a lot of toxic drama. Cause she lies to hurt your feelings to feel better about herself. She acts like teenage rebel - immature mother - the worst kind. "Being mean" and pretending to be "honest" to put down people is bad. She seems to hate the older girl, maybe because she looks like her husband she hated? She is well written character. I find it scary that people think it is okey to treat vorunable girls like she did or to think this is how good mom looks like. I guess she is jealous? she thinks she is one of the girls? In my opinion she is definition of shallow. She loves attention. I think she is the reason that girl is so messed up. Good moms don't have messed up girls because their children dont lack love. She and Nate's mom have many things in common. Rue's mom seems much better. She is the one who isn't afraid to tell the truth.
