Don lived 200 yards from my home in Green Park Drive. He didn't start out in the late 60's. He started in the early 60's. He attended the same school as me. Etheridge in Bilston. His first group was The Vendors. Without Don, Slade would never have existed. He was the innovator.

Saw Don at a Slade gig in Adelaide Sth Australia in 1973. Great show, but Don kept swigging from a large bottle of Scotch between songs. Didn't seem to affect him at all.

Err no. See on Facebook, The Official Slade page. Dave Hill and 3 others, name is Slade. Don Powell wanted to call his new band Don Powell's Slade, but Dave threatened legal action, so Don backed away. Check Don's web site for up to date info on what he is doing.

This is filmed on a Panasonic camera, not a phone. I have had compliments on the sound of my Status Quo videos, by a friend of Rick Parfit and Francis Rossi. Get your ears checked. 691 people liked the video and sound. I videoed a few songs only. I enjoyed the show while holding the camera and watching most of the show without the camera.
