......ACTUALLY, she and her sisters kicked it into HIGH gear with their Pleasure Seekers over a half-century ago - should've gone in WELL before Joan, ESPECIALLY with worldwide sales of 60 million albums.....

Yeah, there weren't many all-girl or girl-lead bands in the 1970s. Joan Jett (the Runaways) and Blondie. Maybe one or two more, but they escape my memory at the moment.

I have read an article of her before she started singing. She stayed in a hotel for a year to decided and figured out for a whole year what she wanted to be or do. And a rock singer was her best choice. I can't think of anyone who don't love Suzie Quatro's music and I agree with the other comments, that she needs more credit and should be accepted as a Rock Star in The Hall of Fame. ❤️SHARON COETZEE.

The ONLY advantage to being old, is that I was young for all of this. We had it all. Suzi Quatro, Disco, Abba, AC/DC (Bon Scott), punk,. It was an EXPLOSION of activity, creativity and expression. I would not have missed it for the world. I love the way you younger people love our music. Suzi was not just a musician, she set us free to express ourselves and we did. Helen Reddy also. Her song I AM WOMAN was the voice for the women's rights movement. Back then there was no single mothers pension, we got 24 bucks a month for family assistance and that was it. And if you were divorced, you were looked at as a "scarlet woman". You needed your husband's permission to have any kind of operation and many other things needed the husbands consent.

When I was a small kid in the 70's, my mom handed me a box of M80's (1/4 stick of dynamite some kind of agriculture product 4th of July fun) Also a lighter, she said be careful with that lighter, don't burn yourself, or start a fire, and off I went with the equivalent of 12 sticks of dynamite! Outside to go Play. Out side Every day, snow, rain,, sun up to sun down That was the 70's. ( true story)
