It’s the best feeling in the world when a fresh engine swap starts with the turn of the key. I did that recently on a 2.5 to 2.0 swap on a Subaru. Great job.

I was told that the computer freaks out at high RPM but I dont know what that means. I also heard it was only the automatic so what ever.

Having an issue with a bad ground and i keep tripping out the fuel pump. Hopefully i can get back to this project in a couple weeks.

@@trashpandaoffroad3548 there are a lot of mechanics that have never swapped to a non stock engine. You are on your 2nd one. That thing is going to snort.

I in the same process but moving much slower. My 2.3 didn’t have a “distributor” so I’m glad to see you use the one from the 2.0 I changed to my 2.0 intake on the 2.3 I’m glad your doing this. Thanks for the videos. I’m feeling much better about it.

I just set my 2.3 mated to the 5 speed into my samurai yesterday. Going to order a heavy duty trans mount and waiting on a radiator from trail tough. You’ve had a few days now have you driven it yet ? If so what do you think of it. Please let us know. Thanks man

Havent gotten it fully dialed in. Think I may switch back to the 2.0 intake. Dont think I have the IAC wired up correctly.

Is the 2.3 basically bolt on to the auto transmission?

It bolts to the transmission once you change the flywheel and pilot bearing

Bolts up to tranny but need a special flywheel. Trail Tough sell them.
