I too purchased this GIVI screen for my Burgman. I do like it as it offers a lot more wind protection than the stock/OEM screen (pretty much no wind buffering), but it's awful in wet conditions. I don't know why, but water just collects and sits on it and obscures/blurs my view quite significantly. You'd think water would shed off it (especially at higher speeds) but it doesn't and there have been a handful of times I've had to pull over and wipe the screen clear with a microfibre cloth. In hindsight, I wish I had purchased the adjustable GIVI screen (AF3115); have it up when it's dry and down when it's wet. Perhaps this is not something you have to worry about too much being in Texas (?) compared to me in the UK!

@@dIsAstErTR I still wish I had purchased the adjustable screen (the AF3115) 😝 As a potential fix and before the worst of the autumn and winter wet weather hits, I’m considering cutting 2-3cms off the top of the current screen (the D3115) to see if that helps. I realise that goes against the entire point of purchasing a taller after-market screen, but that should mean less of the screen I’m looking through.

@@M4rkle Thank you! I wonder how the OEM high windshield fares. Haven't found anyone who bought it to ask for comments. As for your case, no joke but you might want to try this method. Add some washing machine shiner to water, mix, apply it to the windshield with cloth before rainy days. Might help water slide off if it doesn't damage the material which I doubt.

Lots more coverage from that windshield. Seems it would be ideal for long distance touring. Wonder if it will affect (reduce) gas mileage? Another great video, Mitch!

Yes a lot more comfortable without sore neck. I didn't really see difference in gas mileage on my 07 model but air flow is much better. I am sure my friend's 2022 burgman is same thing too. Thanks for the comment!

Did you test it for loss in final speed due to more air drag? I have put a similar Givi on my Yamaha NMAX and it lost 5 km/h final speed, but in the other hand, the gain in comfort and protection I think it is worth the change, specially when unexpected light summer showers catch you on the road, its a good barrier to avoid water on chest and face. I enjoy your videos Mitch.

I haven't tested it on my friend's new burgman 400 but he said he got it up to 90 smooth... I have tall givi windshield like that on my 2007 burgman 400 and I don't really notice the difference in the speed. I guess just because of the design or bigger CC scooter make difference? Thank you! Been looking for NMAX to work on :)

I think the windshield is a bit too high for the rider. Givi screens should be no higher than the height of your shin, you should be able to look over the screen. Traditionally GIVI's non adjustable screens are designed for people from 178cm to 185cm. If you are shorten than that or taller you will have to look through the windshield or get buffeting due to being too tall.
