Akhirnya Suzuki Burgman Street 125 EX ini baru saja diluncurkan di negara kami hari ini, dengan harga yang cukup menarik, sekitar 1556 USD.

The smallest Burgman offered in the USA is 200cc. Wish this one was available here.
@BikeMatters Жыл бұрын
Interesting that you'd prefer this as a 125cc over a 200cc, can I ask why you'd prefer a smaller engine out there?
@scrambler69-xk3kv10 ай бұрын
Because our Suzuki Burgman looks nothing like this. It is a much larger totally different bike. There are so few small displacement bikes available in the US. Older now and would prefer a small scooter like this to ride on our very rural as in no houses or businesses roads. It just looks like you are riding through the forest roads with no street lights of any sort. Yes, we have them. Ride along at a slow pace and just enjoy the day ride.

I don't know why Suzuki saturated their own 125cc line up. Wish you guys directly asked them about this. Burgman Street, Address and Avenis. Good video. Amazing fuel efficiency.

I'm sure efficiencies of scale mean using the same engine for all three models saves money, but a £3000 'luxury' scooter with 8hp is pretty poor. Most of the competition is using 11/12hp motors. Personally I think the Piaggio Medley with its 14.7hp motor and larger wheels is a better deal, even at £500 more then the Burgman.
@Ducktator1969 Жыл бұрын
But can they beat the reliability of the Suzuki tho? Even an old Suzuki skywave 125 Can get you through 200.000 KM's and the engine still running strong

Yeah the Suzuki Bergman 125 is around $2200 with tax and lifetime registration in Vietnam. 3000gbp is a bit steep.

What you have just said about bhp means absolutely nothing I owned a gilera runner 125 with 15 bhp and it went no faster than my 12.6 bhp honda Pcx. You just ain't going to get any faster unless it's modded. 60 is the sweet spot for any 125 anymore than that move up to A2 licence
@drramtop1576 Жыл бұрын
It's not about maximum speed, but the scooter's ability to maintain speed. If you're going up an incline of any real gradient an 8hp scoot will struggle to get much above 40mph, add a reasonable headwind and you're down to 30-ish. I have to ride in conditions like that almost every day (as do many people who live in hilly areas) and when I borrowed an 8hp scooter for a while I found it was only able to get to 32mph on a particular hill, whereas my usual 11.3hp scoot would do 45-ish. 15hp likely could get that above 50mph. And I stand by my original point; for a £3000 'luxury' scooter the Burgman is awful value. 8hp motor, no ABS and a single shock? That's the spec of some £1999 off-brand Chinese junker. The Medley just got a price cut to £3200, so the Burgman looks even worse in comparison now than when this video was made.

I'm looking for my first scooter /motorcycle. What should I look at. I want it to be usable on highways so I assume I need 125cc or bigger.. Looking at a small 50cc for my daughter. Cost is no concern.

Not sure what part of the world you are in but given new 50's can only do 28mph you are in the realms of electric push bikes. You can also get electric scooters (50cc equivalent) such as the Piaggio 1. You can get cycle-to-work tax breaks etc on push bikes and some grants did exist for electric scooters.
@mariokuppers568610 ай бұрын
125cc + because you normaly have an lower Speedlimit of 45 mph. Streetlegal 50cc only run 28 mph and older ones 35 mph so they are out of Question. But even with an 125cc you should Aim at least 10.5 hp and up otherwise you can really struggle with wind and climbs.
@mariokuppers568610 ай бұрын
The Piaggio 1 is the greatest waste of resources ever. It even Struggles to reach 28 mph if you slap an 50 kg Girl on it

Hi brother, Thank you for breaking down the valuable information. I just want to know, it's been almost a year since you uploaded this video, and I was wondering if you're still using the same Burgman EX. Could I ask if you've encountered any issues with the rear suspension? Specifically, any stiffness while riding alone or with a pillion? I've heard there are complaints regarding this, and I'm curious if you've experienced any of these issues or any other problems with the Burgman EX. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know, as I'm eager to buy one. Thanks in advance! ❤️

@fingerhorn49 ай бұрын
There are a few older Burgmans left but not many. I agree the old 125cc Burgman was way better than this terribly weak offering which is going to struggle to get to 60 mph (96 kph). So it really is a town /city scooter and completely inadequate for longer journeys. The old Burgman also had way more storage. This new Burgman is over-priced and underwhelming.

Of a staggering ugliness!... the new Burgman Street is designed for Asian templates , If you measure more than 1.75m , you will look stupid , terribly uncomfortable !... !... What happened to the engineers who designed the new Burgman? ... Suzuki has abandoned all the assets that had made the success of its prestigious cousin ... round and warm shapes, a trunk with a very large storage capacity ...a nervous and economical engine ...then declined in 200cc!... The new model of the Burgman is a historical error!...

This lacklustre, pathetically under-powered, ugly attempt from Suzuki to replace the very decent older Burgman 125 is an utter failure. It will barely wheeze its way up to 50-55 mph with its way under-powered 8.5 hp engine. For similar money you can get the excellent Zontes 125M or the SYM Jet x and others, and for a little more the Honda PCX is a way more accomplished scooter. Even the humble Honda Vision with only 110cc, the Piaggio Liberty 125 and the Honda SH Mode are miles better than this monstrosity.
