Is there a difference in top speed between the 90 hp merc and the df115 ?

There's a difference of about 7 to 9km, 90 merc would do 38mph (61kmph) the 115 suzuki 42mph (68kms), you can see the difference in speed on the original review, the difference driving it is considerably faster than the Merc

No not changed propeller, we tried three different propellers when the motor was first fitted to the boat to get the right one.
