Pushing my Suzuki DRZ400E called Sally and I toward the harder enduro type trails. In this video the aim was to get out of my comfort zone without breaking my bike all whilst riding solo.

I really believe that most people don't know how step the tracks you are climbing, I continue to be amazed how capable our humble Drzs are. Go the tractor.

Yeah for sure. Some full on tracks there that don’t look so full on in the video. 🫤 Mate the DRZ’s are the best. The Best bit is if I broke a part it would be cheap to replace and readily available.

Effing good effort mate, got to love having long legs for that stuff. Time to get a radiator fan for poor old Sally. For those steep downhills I normally kill the engine so I can use the clutch to modulate engine braking heaps more controllable than the rear brake but still don't be afraid to use the front, it has heaps of weight on it so heaps of traction. No shame taking the chicken track every once in a while especially after some falls just to get the confidence and breath back, keep it up

Fantastic. Use engine breaking. Never switch engine off on steep decent with boulders. Just to add to that... one of the best rides I've seen to date.

MAN you got some BALLS riding those hills with a full tank in that 17ltr (i think) tank 😮😬 the hills even looked STEEP and ROUGH as mate 😁👍 ps I HATE going down hill to 🤬much prefer to ride up them 😁👍 keep well and ride safe-ish 😎🍺

Looked pretty knarly but grabbing that front brake on downhills will get you in trouble more times than not, really that bike is a little bit heavy for that type of terrain

I've driven most of those tracks in my 4WD and yes they are bloody steep, especially that Farrels No 3, not too many bikes would make it up there.

Nice work boss 🤙🏼 I’ve got a similar ride from the Glasshouse mountains incoming on Sunday. What gearing were you using here? I went with my normal adventure gearing, which wasn’t a great idea 😂

Mate just getting in the practice 😉 Well now that I have the big bore I have stuck to the 15-44 and love it. But I use to run 15-47 or even 14-47 for such rides previously. It’s a pain in the arse swapping all the time though. So your solution is a big bore kit to. I’ll even install it for you mate.

Awesome video mate.👍 Those hills were steep amd gnarley as fck. Top effort on a heavy bike, also with a fairly big fuel load. That type of riding is a shitload easier on a small enduro bike. Cheers for sharing 🍻

I ha a chuckle regarding comments from your original VIdeo with the 430 kit and overheating. This shows (although it did finally get hot) that it really makes little difference. My CRF would have boiled a lot sooner. Tough going for sure. I’d be more worried about the clutch!!!

@@The_Apprentice_Adventurer holy fuck mate didn't realise it was that much for you. Tbh a think it would defo help your up and down hill game mate as sometimes the stall that fucks you when it cuts out and then no power when u need it the recluse would help that a shitload mate. A will have a look and see how much it is over here a know yous get some mad shipping costs ect. Just checked about 700 800 quid over here as well. Tbh a would save up and get it if a could buddy especially if a was doing what your doing mate the terrain over here nowhere like the stuff you are going over

It’s a water run off because bikes have been using it as a single track. I’m not experienced but shouldn’t you have it idling down hill just to get some cooler air and water through the motor? If it’s sitting there with steam coming out of the hose it’s probably beyond over heating. But some narly hill climbs man you wouldn’t see me doing them

I love your videos, really enjoyable. Have you maybe looked at trying a Yamaha WR450F for these harder enduro tracks? Or for even more power- Husqvarna 701 or Gas Gas ES700.

What kind of tires are you running and what pressures? Some nice soft gummy tires, rim locks and low pressure would likely help a lot!
