Suzuki needs to reprogram its paint robot for the Jimny, I have had 5 Jimnys including a 2020 and the paint finish in the engine bay is always very poor.

I'm not working in SUZUKI but It cannot be done in all vehicles - if they did it in all vehicles the cost would be huge. It has to be done in a small percentage, but as the production steps, production procedures and production line, are the same, even if a small precentage is tested, the conclusions can be applied to the whole production. And if there is a continous feedback, the production can be improved over time. The Japanese have a philosophy that is called "Kaizen" and Kaizen is met in japanese factories: Kaizen means to gradually improve something and make it better, and better, and better. And maybe because of the Kaizen philosophy the "Made in Japan" products, are between the most reliable and dependable and durable, over time, on long term. See Toyota which according to Reliability reports, that the owners report issues, Toyota steadily in in the top of the Most Reliable cars, and SUZUKI ranks high in realiability reports, and HONDA ... And not only in cars, see the wrist watches: the japanese brand CASIO have the most durable and reliable watches, on the long term ; they are almost "immortal".

I work for Suzuki & we have some brand new models in stock for immediate delivery. If you were to factory order one it’s around 4-5 months for a manual transmission & 7+ for AGS transmission (UK)
