Their marketing strategy was build extremely consistent and long lasting products. And people would flock to the brand once people realize the cars are not going to break from normal use. I just bought my first toyota in Japan, check out my channel!

I like cars and have seen a lot of assembly plant videos. I am surprised by the cleanliness seen in the production line, the workers with white gloves and above all the silence and calm in the environment. Toyota quality is no accident.

My 2009 Tacoma is an absolute trooper and so much fun, I have put that truck through almost every element and it still goes strong. The Japanese take pride and care into so many things. I really respect their ingenuity, their hard work and reputation.

As a former contractor that worked in several GM plants in Michigan, all I can say is WOW ! The 🇯🇵plants are amazingly clean compared to the filthy dungeon environment in GMs plants. Moreover, I did not see any stoned or drunk employees spitting tobacco on the floors or no one sleeping with their boots off ! I wonder why Japan 🇯🇵 builds the best automobiles in the world ? Rhetorical question!!! 👍🇯🇵

Hahaha is it really that bad? I’m in Japan and in my city there is a jeep dealer. I don’t know why people buy them, but they think the brand is cool. But It makes me sad to see these guys pulled over on the side of the road broken down. I drive Toyota, and it never leaves me stranded.

I have a 2020 PRIUS L Eco. Super nice fit, finish, quality. In just 15 months, I have put 132,000 miles on it....and NO trouble, not a single issue. And I have averaged 82 MPG over that time. (I am a hypermiler) OEM Bridgestone tires went 82,000 miles. Fantastic car!

Motomachi Plant and Takaoka Plant are both located in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. The Motomachi Plant is also Toyota's most advanced plant, where new production technology is tested first.

I seen a torque wrench used in relation to the 08:20 dash assembly, 10:45 exhaust assembly., and the 13:08 transaxle. From what I see, there are many places where an air impact wrench was used where the bolts were not torqued down to specification.

i have visited Toyota Aichi City plant in year 2019. It is a MUST to visit the Toyota Tour (free) but you need to make appointment in advance. Apart from factory tour, you can visit the small scale of Toyota Museum there too.

I remembered watching a video where the narrator said that the reason why the technicians point after finishing a task is because there is a camera system that is watching for that gesture. If they do not point, the system will sound an alert to remind the technician that they may have missed a step.

It is interesting to see what actually goes on in a Toyota plant. All the famous stuff seems to be invisible. Kanban cards, just-in-time, visual management, the line stop button and the critical importance of takt time (all operations in a sequential assembly line need to take the same time). The line is famously clean. There is very little talking, just the whir of powered tools. Thanks for the video!

I enjoy watching the German and Japanese auto plants. They all dress in uniforms- neat and clean. Compare this to the American auto plants where the workers wear whatever they want: cutoff shirts, Saturday lounge wear, and clothes you would wear to the grocery store on Sunday morning.

A small point - both Motomachi and Takaoka factories are in Aichi ken (prefecture) near Toyota City near Nagoya. They are NOT in Yokohama or Toyoma.

Me and my family were always into buying American cars and trucks and they were always breaking down 😒.so one day I decided to switch to Toyota and let me tell you those are the best cars I ever had those cars can run forever so i also convinced my sisters and brothers and my parents to switch to Toyota too and now they're happy with their cars never gives them problems and their fuel efficient too. we are Toyota for life now 😁

Yes this is how you work at a job keep yourself busy at all times and then you notice it's already at the end of the shift. Times fly when you keep yourself busy.

I have a 1998 Camry with over 300,000 miles. It was assembled in Kentucky but 98% of the parts are from Japan. Toyota's are unbelievably reliable, just stay on top of basic maintenance.

I use a 2004 Toyota Camry and it is still good, comfortable, all indicators function normally, there is no damage to the body. Toyota is easy to maintain, spare parts are everywhere. Toyota is the best. 👍

And that shows why fuel cells are great for trucks and buses, but a bit of a squeeze for cars. Great to see. Might've been even better as two 25 minute films - the normal ice/hybrid assembly line and then the fuel cell car assembly. And I'll be deliberately pointing my finger at the job I think has just been completed in future.
