In the second half of 2008, the Suzuki Grand Vitara was given a face-lift and two new engines. A 2.4L in-line four is offered producing 122kW of power and 225Nm of torque. The new V6 is only offered in the flagship prestige model which produces 165kW of power and 284Nm of torque. Fuel economy has also been improved with the addition of VVT to both engines and the 1.9L Turbo-Diesel has also received some mechanic work improving its economy. Safety has also been improved with more air-bags and traction control standard on all models. The four mode four-wheel drive system is also available on all models.

When properly modified these little cars do just as well as the more expensive Toyota's, Nissan's or Rovers. I've had my 3 door for 6 months now and have done suspension, tyres, bullbar, new muffler and underbody protection.2 It does AMAZING. Couldn't be happier with her~

Hi there, I am currently considering getting one of these, it has, I believe, a 3 inch lift. Is there anything I need to watch out for in particular when deciding on this vehicle, like if the lift has been done professionally, or where the typical rust spots are likely to be? It's in Queensland.

I owned a 1998 RAV4. I enjoyed driving that. Now I have a 2012 Suzuki Grand Vitara 3Door, Auto, 4 Cylinder. I am wondering how capable it will be. Looks like it’s ok.

In Australia before you buy check out the price of spare parts and how easy to access in your area because stock can be more costly than other brands and delivery takes time in rural areas
