Suzuki GS500 Superbike Project Ep3 "Bandit 600 rear wheel with 160 Tire "

Whoa, few years on this vid. I recently put a 175 on a stock 3 spoke gs500 mag. Only problem is the rims 100mm wide. So I found a GSX rear wheel that 5.5" wide. This'll relax that 175 and It'll look it's width and not be so high. I need to find a 28mm O.D. axle assembly now. I might just get a pipe with them dimensions and make it a shim.

Hey there good video about how to get a wider tire on a gs500 but does the bandit wheel have to be a specific year ?

Hi and thanks for your comment! Unfortunately I do not remember the year of the bandit wheel but I'm assuming that any bandit 600 wheel would fit 😊 maybe just don't take my words for it and check out a few forums or something like that... You should be able to find Infos online for sure. Cheers

Start by the more important, service all fluids + brakes, suspensions, tires... Then the cosmetic parts. Nobody wants a beautiful bike that rides like shit 😉

Hi, the GS is from 1997 I think and for the wheel I don't remember... But I think that all bandit 600 should fit... Check online there is a few Infos about this mod 😉

@@brucesmotorcycleshop3729 thanks man I have a 95 gs500 and I want a 150/160 tire in the rear I have also read a katana wheel will work to achieve a 150 tire , but I love your build and can't wait to see it completed

Yeah there is a few wheels from Suzuki that fits, the 150 tire is for sure easier as you don't need to offset the chain. I'm currently working on offsetting my sprockets. The build is unfortunately taking longer right now as I have some issues with the engine. I'll be talking about it in the next video 😉

Well let's say 150 is probably a bit easier to deal with... 😊 But I have to say so far so good... I unfortunately haven't finished to fit it completely so I could not test drive the bike with the 160 yet. The wheel is centered and all spacers, brake caliper mount and the brake caliper itself fits perfectly. Now the last thing I have to take care of is the chain... I have to offset everything 5mm to the left. I'll be doing this some point in January I guess so stay tuned 😉

The bandit not have 160 wheels...its 150/70/17 wheel have at rear.

This model had 160/60/17 on a 4.50 wheel stock. Do some research, there is different models 😉

1200 bandit have 160 and it was a 05 nd now I'm tryna do all upgrades on a 05 gs500 too
