Enormous respect to the skilled and dedicated engineers at Suzuki for my great 1978 GS1000 and my 1991 GSX-R 1100. Those engines were indestructible and offered leading--edge performance at the time. I would buy another GSX-R if I were younger. Solid engineering and miles of enjoyment over 5 countries. Great video. All the best, Rob in Switzerland

No, but a friend of mine has one that is in very good condition and he is now having electrical issues with it. I could ride it if I wanted to and I still may. He told me it's fun to ride but no more than a Japanese bike. I think all bikes are fun to ride, my problem with BMW, Arillia, Ducati is that they are not as reliable and parts cost more than Japanese. I have seven Japanese bikes from 1988 to 2012 and haven't had major problem with any and I ride a lot. I did have to have the carb's cleaned on my two oldest bikes and I did have small coolant leak on my 1997 Concours and I rode it that way for a few months until I figured out it was just a loose clamp on one of the hoses, never did over heat. People can spend their money any way they want, but I'm sticking to the four Japanese brands.

I have owned many bikes from all four Japanese brands and also Harley. I think Suzuki 4 cylinder engines in the GSX-R's, and all those that use derivations of those engines like Bandit's, the katana, GSX-S are the best of all. Durable and can be pushed to far higher than stock power without breaking. The best shifting transmissions.... The passion for the bikes that Suzuki engineers have is evident in every bike. After riding for the last 35 years, I have two heartfelt words for the Engineers and staff at Suzuki...... Thank You!!

I've owned yamaha, Honda, kawasaki, Suzuki my whole life of riding. multiple models and years from r6, r1, cbr600rr, cbr100rr, zx6r, zx10r and tbh I like different things about every bike but the GSXR has hands down never cease to amaze me. Their handling to power ratio is very easy to handle for a new rider. 07 cbr600rrs handle the best imo but as far as power the gsxr is a missile on straights. kawi has a tad bit stiff out the box and Yamahas power band is wack. gsxr boy forever.

i usually dont hear people talking about suzuki because they didnt release the new overhyped bike thats super special. suzuki is not spectacular. suzuki is reliable and they love the quote "never change a running system" (as you can see on many models that havent been updated in decades like DRZ400, DR650 and so on). normal people would say "thats lame, nothing special, buy a ktm or ducati". but suzuki fans like me know they will never have a problem with a suzuki and appreciate that. because suzuki is that much careful makes them trustworthy and you cant trust another brand as much as you can trust suzuki. on a suzuki (exept the sports bikes) you wont be the fastest but you will be the last one whos laughing and riding when that ktms piston stops working and youre doing another 50K miles. all i want to say with my crappy english is i love suzuki and you should too because they build the best motorcycles i think the american would say "best bang for buck" and you can really see they want to build motorcycles for the folk and not for the snobs like ducati does

Life happened and I put off from buying the bike, but in 2003, I find an 86 1100 and bought it . I still own it and every time I get it on it reminds me of why I that it was the most best bike every made back then because it was. It was a beast for its time, 0-60 in 3 seconds, come on we are talking 1986, this bike was insane. Hell bikes today can't even do that now. To put this in perspective, this bike was faster than most Teslas and Tesla was not even a thought back them. Just marinate on that for 3 seconds.

11:47 I own a 2000 GSX-R750 in this exact colour scheme. For me, this model is the best looking of the GSX-Rs and this is the colour scheme that Roberts Jr's RGV wore when he won his title. A great bike and a great looking bike.

These men are impressive and i respect them greatly. Still riding the original bikes and at their ages; true bad asses!! I own a K5 750 which has around 50k on it finally and owned since almost new. It has been wrecked multiple times and once well over triple digits. Other than bent and smashed parts it has always ran perfect. Only not self induced mechanical failure to date is the hydraulic chain tensioner. Started sounding like a mini diesel around 27k miles. I checked the the clearances for the valves around 43-44k and still within spec. Original clutch and a bent up mangled Yoshimura TRS bolt on exhaust that sounds better with every new day.. I am a believer, thank you to the Suzuki engineering team for making that happen.
