Bro. Thank you. I got a 1998 GSXR 750. I wanted to do tank and ignition. Got the Amazon special but it didn’t work. I swapped the key-barrel and boom ! Thanks again !

They didn’t start implementing the 100 ohm resistor until 2004 models. I’m glad you found a work around for your faulty replacement part but also it’s misinformation say the 100 ohm resistance is required to make this work on gsxr from 2003 and earlier (like your 98)

In reality the Chinese parts are cheaper for a reason. Could’ve been a bad solder job on a particular wire or number of things on why it didn’t work. But your bike doesn’t have any ohm resistance anti theft security measures.

hey if you take your original lock cylinder out of your ignition can you just turn it on with a screwdriver at that point if you don't have a replacement ignition yet my bike was stolen and returned without a key

My aftermarket ignition came and the actual lock don’t come out as easily as the OEM one just came out no problem. The eBay one has a metal piece that sits outside of the lock and it’s not coming out

Wow I appreciate it I wouldn't even have thought of doing this I was looking at resistors on Amazon and trying to figure out how to remove everything from the bike to install the new ignition but this I can do with everything still on the bike! Great video!!

I got the same problem, My ofiginal inition is stuck, wont turn, so I bought a new one from ebay, and the bike does nothing at all, i have to figure out how to fix the old one or buy a used one to do this trick, at leat I know now the ignition oem wont work

I did exactly this , and its turning everything over but it just want start? Before i lost my key- it started just fine??? You said yours didnt start either whst was your problem?

i had the same issue, i swapped the harness from my oem ingition set and it worked. i think it just needs a 150 ohm resistor onto it and it should work. the fuel pump won’t engage right?

I bought one of these and my gas cap locking flip up cap will not push down far enough to lock and release key

Sup big man, just caught this VID.... yeah (obviously you know this already makin this VID), it's SAFER to stay with the SUZUKI ignitions.... best thing to do IS EBAY has TONS OF SUZUKI parts whether it's NEW OR USED. Got an '03 GXSR 600, my ignition switch was trashed... so bought that NEW OFF OF EBAY FROM A DEALERSHIP (had been massively discounted) but needed the GAS CAP an STORAGE COMPARTMENT key system. ling story short bikes now a 2 key systems (1 for the switch, other for the GAS CAP/STORAGE COMPARTMENT). These older bikes are gettin HARDER to find parts for (certain things are). Too much "CHEAP SHIT FROM CHINA", most of its HELLA TRASH TOO. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE MAW MAN.🤙🤷‍♂️ HOPE YOU SOLVED YOUR ISSUE. HELLA NICE GXSR BTW, makes me miss my '92 SLINGSHOT I HAD BACK in 2009.

I always recommend buying OEM parts if your bank account allows you to 😂
