Suzuki Gsxr600 mid pipe install(In this video i DECAT my 2015 Suzuki Gsxr 600 M4 exhaust system and provide exhaust clips towards the end of the video! I ran into an issue with the mid pipe slipping on the headers. The clamp that was provided with the mid pipe simply was NOT strong enough to bend the mid pipe to get it to fit correctly. So what i did was I went and bought a heavy duty clamp that was able to bend the pipe to give it a nice fit( I BENT THE PIPE OFF OF THE BIKE BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT TO CRANK IT DOWN ON THE HEADERS AND BREAK ANYTHING THEN ONCE I HAD THE PIPE TO MY LIKING I FIT IT ON THE HEADERS AND MADE MY FINAL ADJUSTMENTS...to help with any exhaust leaks I used high temperature gasket maker which seems to work well. Yes, you can bend the pipe on the bike just be careful to NOT bend the shape of the pipe you are slipping the mid pipe onto. You’re supposed to cut on the other side of the weld that way there’s more pipe for mid pipe to clamp onto . Plus with the style of mid you bought the weld would have made it tighter. The weld is supposed to be grinded down after until the pipe slips one

BUT I just got my hands on a mid pipe and im cutting my cat this weekend and sending my ECU to moore mafia. Ive heard countless and countless of good things from moore mafie especially for GSXRs. Ive also recently talked to chris and he helped with some questions i had and he seemed like a really good dude. Ill update you if i remember but I say go for it !!!

To find the exhuast leak pin point spot use a rag to cover and choke the endogenous the exhyasdt back pressure you'll hear the same as noise you get from an air gun on a compressor

From what I understand, if you're doing a slip-on only, you can typically live without a tune unless you want to optimize the performance. As for the baffle, you just need to decide if you're going to run a baffle or not prior to a tune. I just watched a Moore Mafia video where he showed why you have to specify whether you have a baffle or not using a Kawasaki ZX-14. Your bike would need to be tuned a bit different because the baffle is still a bit restrictive.

Not sure if you found out yet, but at MJS Performance, the midpipe shown is for '11-'23 and possibly '24, so it should work. 🤙🏼

I got it off eBay for like $50 bucks and I’m just getting the Ecu flashed so it will be $200..best option for tuning would be to get a custom tune but that costs like $700 so I’m just gonna get the flash.

Hey bro, I have 2022 gsxr750 As soon as I saw this video I wanted to do a cat-delete with the m4 go slip-on… BUT I’ve heard from Numerous people including a specialist with sport bikes that with the 750 doing a cat delete will cause a major drag in the lower RPMs… so is there a way to fix that or should I just no do the cat delete like they said and just chill with the slip on by itself.

That’s a great question! When u remove the cat it changes the air flow of the exhaust system, and ur going to need to add fuel to the air/fuel mix, so all you need to do is tune the bike and it will run better than it ever has. So no it doesn’t matter you just have to tune it and buy an after market air filter and ur good to go

No air leaks, and yes it’s a really good fit. I got it from a local hardware store, but it’s probably not necessary. Either by a heavy duty clamp and that will do the trip or bend it and ride it a few times and then it should seal from the heat after a few rides.

Yeah, but it’s a tight fit trying to get the slip on onto the mid pipe, but it still fits and is in the same spot.

Yes, I got it flashed. You’re going to need a flash after u delete the cat because removing the cat is going to lean it out, so u need ur air/fuel ratio adjusted. You’re going to need a after market air filter as well

Those are the cables from the exhaust servo motor. It opens and closes the exhaust set valve. If you’re going to be removing the cat and tuning the bike, you definitely should remove them If you want the bike to run better. @@donfradlis2979 ya I did use some high temp gasket maker to help seal it. It seems to be working fine. I usually just check it every now and then to see and I don’t feel any air seeping out. Just bend it with a heavy duty exhaust clamp and either use that one or use the one they gave you after u get a tight fit and put some gasket maker around it and that should do the trick.
