Suzuki Hayabusa Dyno Fail!

Northvic Streetbikes Dynoday held at 'The Pitstop Motorcycles' in Merbein Victoria Australia. Owner Andrew puts his Suzuki Hayabusa on the dyno for the last run when his tyre valve breaks off and the tyre deflates at 310km/159HP.
Read outs were performed on a DYNO DYNAMICS machine.

thats not a valve blow out, its where the tyre is touching the static part of the machine, when he comes off the power the bike lurches back and does a tyre burnout on the machine

I had an 08 Hayabusa with a TRE and i had mine up to 310kmph, scary to think what could have happened. would have been curtains i think if it had happened to me. But its not something ive heard of happening before so probably is pretty rare.

Joni Novak well, you hear the tire spin on the roller. Grabbing the front brake is smart bc if the rear grabs traction at a high rpm, you can launch the bike into the front chuck.

Here's a good reason to never use any fancy aftermarket valve stem caps on very high speed runs as the weight of the cap pulls the valve stem loose or apart on quick deceleration....

Benji Caruso from watching many other motorcycle dyno runs, this one has the rear strap too close to the rear wheel. It might be that the fastened strap caused the tire pressure to exceed the recommended pressure, which may have cause it. Just an opinion.

Victor Le its called engine braking where the wheels immediately slow down after rolling off the gas, the dyno couldnt match with the deceleration so the tires did a burnout
