Suzuki Intruder VS1400: Fork Seal Replacement 2/2 - Rebuild Part 11

How to replace the fork seals on a Suzuki Intruder VS1400 part 2of 2. Reassembling the forks on the Suzuki Intruder involves replacing fork oil seals as well as new fork oil. If you have a fork oil leak, spongey suspension, low-performance handling on your motorcycle, changing fork seals may solve the problem. Suzuki specifies a 10WT fork oil should be used but this can be changed to a softer 7.5 WT if you prefer. The install of the fork seals also requires a special tool to be used to stop the damper rod from rotating when reassembling. You can use a special, Suzuki socket to do this OR you can use a dowel, broomstick or pool cue to hold the damper rod in place inside the forks.
You need a total of 354ml of fork oil in each fork with stock jugs.

In the manual it says to tighten the front fork cap to 80-100 n-m on page 7-18 but on page 2-15 it says 45-55... anyone knows whats the correct torque?

Just did this today. I will admit it took me a bit to realize that the second bushing had to be seated flush into the lower tube under the washer before you could put the washer and seal in.
