Mate that's a trip down memory lane! My old man had a '76 LJ50 hard top in the mid '80s in Port Moresby. I used to drive it around and think I was invincible cos I could take it anywhere. Loved the sound of the 2 stroke. Thanks for posting!

Go the chook burner! Going through that range brought back good memories of the line up we used to have on our four wheeling days.

Nothing like the sound of a three cylinder two stroke brought a lot of memories because back in the 1970s I owned a Suzuki GT750

Thanks for the post. What an awesome line up of LJ's, love the colours. Your 50 sounds wicked and looks sweet. Having owned and restored an LJ81 to roadworthiness here in NZ, I love the simplicity of them. I went on restore and put back on the road an SJ413 and a Samuri (these having slightly different terminology to Aus). I now have my dream Suzuki in the shed, an LJ80 soft top. (To be restored)

2:11 That's exactly what our one looked like. I remember the lift up bars you put in place once you had got in. Looking at it I don't know how much safety it gives . Was it designed to stop you falling out of just for side impacts ? Who knows....
@nobbsyify3 жыл бұрын
I know it stops you falling out because my mate riding passenger didn't put it up and fell out once 🤣🤣

Hey mate, what mirrors do you guys have on your LJ’s? Cheers
@nobbsyify4 ай бұрын
@Nato_Potatoe1997 mines just a aftermarket one mounted to the side of the window frame. I do have the original wheel arch mirrors I just have to find them haha.
@Nato_Potatoe19974 ай бұрын
@@nobbsyify Thanks man. I’m chasing something like those square ones on the wheel arches. Are you able to ask around for me? Cheers
@nobbsyify4 ай бұрын
@Nato_Potatoe1997 the original square mirrors are rare and if someone has them they usually won't give them up. I suggest making your own mount and buying any square mirror to mount them too. It's probably what I'll do if I can't find mine they could be anywhere haha.

They would sell like hot cakes if they were brought back into production today. Same as the F20 and F50 Daihatsu!
