Suzuki Marine's Sustainable Fuel Run to the Capitol

Watch as Suzuki Marine makes and exciting journey of over 900 nautical miles from Jacksonville, FL to Washington, DC. This trip was a special one as our SeaPro 259 powered by twin DF140BTG fly-by-wire engines was fueled by a sustainable fuel source. The fuel utalized was VP Racing's EcoGen Sustainable fuel. This fuel has a few fantastic benefits that Suzuki wanted to test out for itself:
Improved fuel economy (higher energy content than standard pump gas)
Great for marine use (low water affinity)
Up to 10% renewable content
Reduced tailpipe pollutant emissions
Reduced carbon emissions
Friendly on fuel system components (no ethanol corrosion)
Suzuki Marine used the new EcoGen fuel to power the boat all the way to Washington DC and the American Boating Congress where the marine industry, as a whole, comes together to promote the boating lifestyle. Suzuki Marine wanted to show off the usability of this new sustainable fuel for all of Capitol Hill and the world as it successfully powered the boat all the way to Washington with excellent fuel economy and great power.
Suzuki also specifically chose the DF140 engines to power the SeaPro 259 on this jourmey so that we could clean the water during the trip. Utalizing Suzuki's Micro Plastic Collecting Device which comes standard on DF115 and DF140 engines, the vessel was able to filter micro plastics from the water as it cruised up the coast.
