Nice job of installing the lift kit in the little Suzuki Samurai. :-)

Haters are gonna hate, but Calmini makes Great bolt on kits. Not everyone has a welder or is comfortable welding on a tinfoil Suzuki axle housing. Customer service Calmini isn't great but their stuff is pretty bomb proof. I have a 5" reverse shackle bolt on lift from them and its 20 years old. One of my front leafs finally broke this weekend and I had to replace my front springs, but other than that it's been running strong for 20 years on a daily driven rig. Calmini kits aren't known for their huge flex, they just get you more space to clear larger tires. So the spacer on the drive shaft works fine for what you have. With a 5" lift, you can stuff a 33" tire under it but you have to cut the front tube that the stock bumper is bolted to and you will need to re-gear the transfer case or diffs, and the front birfield joints are going to break sooner. 31's are a good size to go with the 5" lifts and it's not too hard on the stock drive train. Still would recommend re-gearing the low range in your transfer case for anything over 30 inches if you have a 1.3L power plant. If you Do eventually go with a longer shackle and lift springs, or do a rear up front or YJ conversion, the extra travel you have will mean going with a longer drive shaft and losing that spacer so that your angles don't get you twisted up. If you do go for a flexier spring set up, Recommend converting the front shocks to eyes on both ends and getting full extension out of them, instead of the adapter stub that calmini puts in their kits. The calmini shocks are just for the small travel that their kit provides.

That lift lasted almost a whole may long weekend on my 86 zuk. Worst OFF road lift I ever had. Not to mention it took 10 months to get.

Thanks for the video. On 02:35 you mention not take the back axle off without lowering the vehicle because the balance point will drop the front-end down - can you explain a bit more about what this means?

I have a question for you experts in the 4x4 sector! (and I would like to know if you can tell me if it is true that the ironman nitro gas shock absorbers go well with the original set-up and can be adapted with the +5? I have a Suzuki jimny 4x4 with m13a 1.3 l petrol engine with shock absorbers and standard settings, yesterday afternoon I picked up the new ironman nitro gas shock absorbers and the 4x4 spare parts dealer in Florence told me that these ironman nitro gas shock absorbers are ok for 4x4 off-road vehicles with stock trim or in a second you could put the springs higher and it becomes a +5 high trim is that true? Greetings from Florence Italy!)

Love the video, got a Question thought: Just bought a 1987 Suzuki SJ 410 from an Old lady all original, no rust barn find (Body wise same as 413 and samurai for what Ive been told). Question: Would like to put a Trailmaster suspension on it 2" lift (dont want to go all crazy as it has the 1.0L engine) Do I need to install extensions for the break lines, drive shaft etc.??... Any other modifications?... Would appreciate any tips help! Looking to keep it as original as possible it just needs a new suspension and would like to go for a bit bigger rims and tires but nothing to crazy... Thnx!

P.S. Also need to change the Body bumbers/bushings as they are already worn. Thinking about going with originals or a 1" lift, same Question as before, would I need to get extensions for Drive shaft, break lines etc.? Tnhx.

Did you make your own spring pads? Are they welded to the axle tube? Did you rotate the pinion? I have a samurai and would like to do this. Thanks.

Nice job. I wish I had a lift in my garage. Have you thought about a yj springs? I hear good things about them. I guess you won't have to worry about braking your springs and they ride softer.

No. No, the axle is factory, it's a bolt on kit. No I didn't rotate the pinion, it remains in a good position.
