One of the many reasons that I love my Suzuki Savage.

Will this work for a Suzuki gs 550l
@GwenMotoGirl3 жыл бұрын
@@Chevy-ke5kn I don’t know but the best info I’ve found is in the Suzuki Savage owners group. Google your motorcycle owners group and I bet you’ll find a group with good info.

Hey, I thought I was some guitar guy! Thanks for checking in. I’m looking for a one size smaller white wall next time. It’s so close to the fender

Nice short video! I hope you'll be able to do some more content on your great bikes soon, love both your SR and the Savage/S40!

Thanks, Man! I'm working on a long-term review on my Triumph Speedmaster, but I'm woking TV hours these days, and shooting my own projects is taking forever

I hear you, thanks for the quick update. Short videos are cool too. Looking forward to the Speedmaster review, I always liked those. It seems that we have similar taste in bikes! 😁

That was pretty neat! I didn't know it was that simple. You should make more videos. What is the advantage of a Mikuni carb over a stock carburetor?
@poormansmotorcycleclub75813 жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking in and for the kind words. That little Mikuni is the factory carb on the simple but very fun Suzuki S 40. I’ve had two of them, this is one that I put a Blue Collar Bobber kit on on. That conversion is detailed on another video on my channel. I’m working on a new video right now about a year vintage Yamaha two-stroke I just acquired.

Is it the nature of the beast to constantly have to play with the idle screw and choke on these bikes depending on the weather?

can you please do a review on the S40 like the one you did on the SR400? Thanks
@poormansmotorcycleclub75812 жыл бұрын
That’s a good idea. What I have on hand is a bobbed Savage, and I have a long video on that restoration, but I think I’m gonna take this idea. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. My bike has been stalling and couldn’t find what to do until this video. Did you initially turn the screw clockwise or counter clockwise?
@shermanallen Жыл бұрын
Looks like clockwise to raise revs. You’ll find out in half a turn. Thanks!
@josejaimeceja3979 Жыл бұрын
clockwise= increases the rpm / counterclockwise = slows down the rpm

Not sure, but those Mikunis are a very easy rebuild for any good mechanic. Thanks for watching and truly good luck.

What muffler did you use with this build? It sounds great!

Don't let the bike idle on the side stand. Supposedly its bad for the right cam lobe.
