Suzuki sell like hotcakes here in Christchurch, as our dealer has an amazing deal that they have had for 20 over years. They call it cost free motoring. The only thing you pay for is tyres, wheel alignment, fuel and insurance everything else is covered for up to 7 years, they even pick-up your car for free to take it in for its free annual service. This is all included in the same price any dealer in NZ charges. Somehow they still make a profit..

It doesn't need a hybrid. The 1.2 CVT is stupidly efficient already. The tragically underrated 1L turbo with 6 speed auto is also frugal but so much more fun, and the 1.4L turbo sport is good value for how efficient and zippy it is.

thats true but regarding the k12M and K10C,these cars were first sold in Europe that has a hard on for anything electric right now and ICE cars have been put on notice so basically they had to make this engine to keep selling cars in that market, theyre phasing out the Ignis for crying out loud, thats how crazy this has gotten. I'm not saying who is better or worse. It's just very different. I don't really see much improvement from this new Swift. Well to be fair, Swift has been really really good already. But this new mild hybrid Swift doesn't quite make sense to me. It feels 5 years old already. If you compare the new hybrid MG3 to the its last gen, the improvements are everywhere. I still don't think the new MG3 is a mechanically better car than this new Swift. But if you look at the whole package, I really don't know which one is better.

I've had my new GLX for a couple of weeks now. I traded in my old Swift Sport Turbo for it and it's honestly night and day difference. Despite being down on power compared to the old Sport, it's just as fun to drive and the refinement is in another league. It's much better on long trips too, because it's so much quieter, the seats are more comfortable and radar cruise and lane keep are far better tuned than the old one. I've never been a fan of CVTs, but the little bit of extra torque provided from the electric motor eliminates the rubber band effect of most CVTs. It's a very good gearbox. Economy is much better, with a solid 200km extra range per tank compared to the old Sport. Absolutely loving it so far

The Swift is the pefect city car that can be used on highways. i like the shot in the intro of the interior, that angle really brings out how much better it looks than the old car. The exterior to me just looks like a minor change of the old one with a new bonnet and new headlights that you cant replace with the older ones if you need to replace one due to an accident for instance. I am very disappointed though that alot of markets outsde of India are insisting on using Suzukis pre 2014 mild hybrid system and not the newer 48v system, they couldnt pull that crap in India why everywhere else? Im upset about that system because it wont keep the AC compressor on when the stop start is engaged, the 48v system however can. Despite this however the car is rock solid and the ADAS appears to not be the pain in the ass other manufacturers want to shove down our throats because ANCAP told them to. Most disappointing car of 2024 IMO. Suzuki really need to lift their game.

So mad they didn't give us the new generation Baleno , much better car that's got 2 usb ports plus air vents in the rear unlike this car 🤨😮💨.

Why does every single car i see today on the road boring and generic? They look like pieces of plastic on wheels. As i put a Mazda CX5 2022 model to the test last year and hit a brick fence. Styrofoam was everywhere. I eas surprised i walked away from it. These cars would be no different. They are cheaply made, qnd biult to be disposable. You have to replace a Suzuki at 200,000 km. That is not a good car. The hyandais are also the same. All asian made cars are built due to emmission lawsl standards, cheap material you would find in a craft store, put it togethwr with a 4 cilinder engine, good to go. Our reliance on our cars being made in Asia is astounding. We cannot trust them when it comes to a virus, but we sure can trust them with making our cars... Makes sense 😂
