Though I personally don't like Swift but still it has better 4 cylinder 1.2 lt. K12 series engine with better power output (83ps and 6000 rpm and 114 nm torque at higher rpm). Polo mpi petrol engine is simply no match to this efficient petrol engine of Swift.

Have you ever tried uphill drive with 5 occupants in Polo? That MPI engine is a total waste. Yes, 1.5 lt diesel engine is good but pretty costly. 8.35 lacs in Indore

Polo is drivers car. Handling too good. Stability excellent. Once’s u drive polo for 2 months, after that u cant go with Maruti. I have polo run 1.5 lakh kms. Done only service. Church, engine ok. Vw having poor service network. Original parts not available in market. Totally authorised service center dependent.

Maruti Desi car hai Whereas Volkswagen is German made I am driving polo since 2013 Mileage koi jyada issue nhi hai 18 kmpl is for diesel Maintenance cost ka shor bhi bekar hai. Annually max 7-10 hzaar ka difference bnta hai. Real issue according to me is Maintenance and repair is not readily available Har koi mechanic haath nhi daal skta Anyway nice description of both cars Good work

But spare parts price is bit high.i supposed 25k every year.a Middle class person can maintain dis car . Not a big deal. I prefer this for safety,build quality, ageless design. Jarman made engine.

I had 2006 golf 1.6 petrol a some years ago. The quality was of the rust was amazing. I mean if you like good quality rusting wheel arches and boot door eaten away by rust then golf is your car. I also had servere rust issue with audi a3 which was a little worse and wouldnt expect a car that claims quality to rust like that before 100k miles??. Now i have suzuki aerio/liana. 174.000 miles not a problem only ever changed thermostat. Rust only just starting at rear arches and all interior still looks good compared to my previous deteriorated audi a3. That car was falling to bits.

😒maruti maruti and maruti, few months back my father used to take advice whether to buy vw cars or not. I was admant and don't want to buy maruti, but the day i bought everyone turned around to praise solidly built vento. I regret its cost of maintenance earlier but all you need is good mechanic to keep it running, maruti scare at 100 to 120 km but vw feels more stable and such speed is never felt.
