How you can commentate and run round those corners with intent...admirable!! Looks good fun.

Hello, I tried the DE version and I loved this bike. Even if it is not the most beautiful, it is very effective. I plan to order the SE version and the same color. Good video and good luck. Hello from France

Good to meet you. Some really impressive riding for someone who’s only been on bikes for a year, Kev ( on the blue Tiger 1200 ).

Likewise Kev and hope you had a good day as well. Thanks for your kind comments as well - many years on circuits in cars probably helped, likewise the help and supervision of instructor Reg Local l from the start, for which I owe him a huge debt of gratitude. Worth a sub if you don’t follow him already!

I really enjoyed watching that as I did the same skills day at Mallory Park on my Transalp a couple of years ago. The bike looks good. Did the rear suspension adjustment make much difference when you were cracking on a bit?

In Ireland it's called the Vstrom 800RE, 12,150 euros too!!

Really don't need to drawn out rider cam, its uninteresting to watch. Appreciate the feedback for the RE, looks like a capable machine.

I enjoyed it, having been round this track 35 years ago. Remember overtaking up the inside at the hairpin was rewarding.

I don t understand why all 800 platform have front fairing on the left side a little bit. The front fairing and tft its not straight with the chasis

Is the 8R as comfortable? Is the RE as fun as the 8R? Which do you think makes a better weekend bike?
@midlifecrisismotorcyclist7 ай бұрын
The RE is more fun than you'd expect for a tourer/commuter type bike and the 8R is more comfortable than you'd expect for a sporty bike which ... isn't too helpful for you, is it! The 8R is definitely not as comfy as the RE all round, though. So, for an everyday and/or long-distance bike I'd take RE. But as a weekend bike the 8R is comfortable enough for days out.

Great fun I'd say.

i assume you meant "SE". The "RE" doesn't not exist
@midlifecrisismotorcyclist6 ай бұрын
Hi Laurent! Not sure where you are in the world but here in the UK we have the RE - could be they sell the same bike as the SE wherever you are? Been known to happen that ranges are market specific.

It's absolutely idiotic but the road oriented Vstrom 800 is called differently in different parts of the world.. here in Czech Republic its called simply Vstrom 800 only DE has special marking. I've also seen it as Vstrom 800 SE, Vstrom 800 RE, Vstrom 800 Tech.
@Italianborn6 ай бұрын
I can confirm that in Italy we have the SE and DE no RE over here either..

This NOT adventure motorcycle. Can you go with it to wilderness of south america? So, this is not "adventure". This is rather commuter. Vould be great in this role if not weight, more comfortable (for taller people) and not this anoying high frequency vibrations.
