Short demonstration of LOCK mode in Suzuki Vitara. Unlike many sources say, there's no rigid 50/50 torque split but it's active & variable.
Torque split is determined by control current applied to the electromagnetic coupling.
Max is ~3000 mA - clutch-pack locked. If no current (0 mA) is applied then car is in front wheel drive mode.

Massive respect for your roller tests and channel in general. That being said, the route hardly seems like a challenge, even for those faux brake-based "limited slip" differential shenanigans on FWD cars. You have already previously run the Vitara through much more challenging terrain, with true activation of the solenoid for the rear axle (and the data to back up how torque is being distributed). Honestly I think you went for a picnic or camp and simply had the telemetry recording ;) so you shared it. The maximum front/rear rpm difference I could see was 5, and from your own testing we know the AllGrip system can do very well. Perhaps this winter we will see another snow pass with telemetry? Edit: also, are you into motorcycles or more car reviews in general? Following Marek Drives, this is my favorite Polish channel by far so maybe you could review cars in general beyond just the 4x4 systems. Your opinions matter, in the best way.

@@OnurKennethYumurtaci Thank you. And yeap, that's more or less the story. It wasn't the point to test the system but to show that torque split in LOCK mode is variable. On the way back I used AUTO mode, I'll share it in the future.

@@OnurKennethYumurtaci Unfortunately the data doesn't show the torque distribution, we can only see 4WD duty and control current. If there will be enough snow this winter, I will try to do videos with telemetry in some challenging conditions, maybe up to intentional overheat etc. When it comes to motorcycles - that's not my field, I know nothing about them. And when it comes to reviews - difficult matter, I run the channel as a hobby, I don't have access to cars like automotive journalists...

@@4x4.tests.on.rollers While you don't have access like a journalist, your testing is exactly what proper journalism was in the 90's/ early 2000's. I am not in Poland so I can't do much but we really must petition or organize to change that access situation. Dzięki for all the hard work on what you call a hobby (and we call serious business).

@@Vive_la_France-y3y These are parameters controlling the operation of awd electromagnetic coupling. Duty is PWM - pulse width modulation, that's how amperes (control current) is regulated.

I just mean it's not really a test when you could do the same thing with an empty rwd car on summer tires😅 Hardly a 4wd challenge and I wondered why the temperature didn't even raise a single digit above ambient and it showed low duty throughout but I'm just guessing at what the data means Nice trail tho, I guess it's a test drive of a new model and you can't thrash it, understandable.
