Suzuki Vitara Mud & Water crossing in the Forest with Summer Tires - 4x4 OffRoad

Flooded and muddy road crossing in the forest with Suzuki Vitara 4 and Summer Tires. Handling ditches, mud, and water with 4x4 AllGrip.
This time I have encountered partly flooded road with big and deep puddles/pools, and road surface covered with slippery mud.
I will show you how to cross such obstacles most effectively with use of AllGrip four-wheel drive and a bit of clever planning and strategy. So even obstacle which may seem over limits of the car and tires, can be defeated.
No additional equipment was used, and car is equipped in factory default Continental summer road tires.
Set up of my car - Suzuki Vitara 4 2019 (European Version):

Amazing video, i'm planning to buy this not for off road, but because the streets of my country (México) are literally like this, seems that is a great option. The other option was Subaru XV but there are very few Subaru stores in the country meanwhile i have a Suzuki store at five minutes. Probably is a signal......

@@OutdoorAdventure0 Yes I am Greek indeed , you noticed the name right? Yes we do have some rain mostly in the winter and a little in autumn, and you can easily find muddy roads outside of the city because there's a lot of countryside here and mostly mountainous areas! But most of the time the mud is dry because in Greece 300 days of the year are sunny haha

Przepraszam, kajam się. :( Już sie natychmiast ubieram i idę złożyć na siebie samodonos do Wód Polskich. Samodonos obowiązkiem każdego prawdziwego Polaka! Dziekuję Adamie, że wyprowadzasz mnie z tej drogi występku! Ale doradźcie, czy następnym razem wystarczy jak kupię jakieś patriotyczne gadżety na Orlenie i obkleje nimi cały samochód? To chyba już bedzie wtedy samochód Narodowy? Nie mówiąc, że zobowiązuje się do zakupu hotdoga na Orlenie przed filmowaniem!;) Czy wożenie narodowego hotdoga w żoładku kierowcy, czyni samochód Narodowym? Chyba tak... ;)

Adam już obywatelski donos napisał. Myślę, że w ramach pokuty powinieneś przekazać Vitarę ojcu rydzykowi dla bezdomnych bo on sam chyba nie byłby zainteresowany 🙏🏻 Orlen to taki nasz wspólny dom, dom wszystkich Polaków. Osobiście spędzam na nim całe dnie czekając na promocje 😱🤣. Co do pokuty to dodam, że od dziś zakupy powinieneś robić TYLKO na orlenie i w żabce bo mało kto wie, że to rydzykowa sieć sklepów- ja tak czynię od dawna i spokojnie śpię 🙏🏻. Bracie, bierz ze mnie przykład. Amen

Co prawda urodziny Don Tadeo chyba w tym roku były, ale jakoś to nadrobię... jakąś ofiarę na rozwój dzieł czcigodnego ojca złożę... Cudny nadwiślański akcent. nie do pomylenia z żadnym innym :) Kupię sobie taką Vitarkę (AT) za parę lat jak mój Forester dokona żywota, choć na razie się na to nie zanosi. Takie marne błotka łyka bez zająknięcia jak asfalt.

Nic się nie da ukryć ;) Ech, muszę jeść kluski przy nagrywaniu, będzie angielski. ;) Póki masz porządne opony(nie tak jak ja;)) i się nie zawiesisz, to się da wszystko łyknąć. A żeby się doczepić ;) - w Subaru, to czasem nie było jakiś słabych sprzęgieł(za małe tarcze)? W Outbacku to jakaś tragedia, sprzęgło śmierdzi nawet jak na ktrawężnik podjeżdzasz ;). Taka suchość w tym roku w Polsce, że błota się nie uświadczy żeby coś nowego nagrać. Ostatnie błoto widziałem na wiosnę.

@@OutdoorAdventure0 Zapraszam do mnie. Błotko nie wysycha nigdy, nawet jak nie pada przez 2 miesiace stoi woda w koleinach. Jak w Serbinowie w "Nocach i dniach" ale tam chyba sztucznie podlewali dla efektu. Sprzęgło w Foresterze zawsze było twarde ale żeby smrodek poszedł to musiałem się zakopać w śniegu takim na pół metra. Słabe sprzęgła były w pierwszych dieslach boxerach, ale ponoć potem to poprawili

Może Forester miał lepsze. Taki objaw(ze spalaniem) widziałem (czułem;)) w 10 letnim Outbacku(Dieslu). Była głośno o tym z tym parę lat temu. No Serbinów to trochę daleko ode mnie. ;) A poza tym z moimi letnimi to mam już syndrom nie wjeżdżania do błoto ze strachu, że sie zakopie.;) Nie ma co, ATki to must have. ;) A tak z ciekawosci, ile masz prześwitu w tym foresterze? Masz tam jakiś reduktor albo blokade mostów? Bo Forester to niby już taka trochę bardziej terenówka niż Outback czy nowa Vitara.

@@OutdoorAdventure0 To był problem właśnie z dieslami z powodu zbyt dużego momentu obrotowego. Mam reduktor. Prześwitu nie mierzyłem ale mam więcej niż seria bo zmieniłem sprężyny i dodałem dystanse 1cm z tyłu. Teraz po zmianie opon na 205/70/R15 jeszcze się trochę podniesie

I can advise you to buy Falken Wildpeak at3wa tyres. I have them on my Subaru Forester and they do great. Also rated for winter. After this summer I will look to buy a Vitara, really like that car.

Falkens looks interesting, but they are not exactly matching "factory" size, probably they will still fit. Around 1 cm higher profile. You want replace Subaru for Forester? Aren't modern Subaru having reduction? I though Subaru Forester would be more capable than Suzuki Vitara... But the price is different I guess.

Just a note. You can choose snow + tcs off or lock. In lock mode as far as I know tcs is off by default. On slippery grounds (not only mud, but also sand) I always switch to the lock mode.

I am still bit confused how this system relates one to another(TCS & ESP). I dont think so they are equal. TCS definition is: main task is to prevent excessive skidding of the vehicle wheels during acceleration, which is manifested by their spinning, while ESP/ESC - When ESC detects loss of steering control, it automatically applies the brakes to help steer the vehicle where the driver intends to go. I don't fully understand how is related ESP and TCS. But still in Lock Mode switching ESP off, causing TCS is more aggreviely breaking wheels spining. I agree that in SNOW mode TCS is more aggresive by default(subjectively I didn't notice difference whenever in SNOW mode ESP was on or off). So for me, in this scenario you can select two paths(to have more aggresive wheels breaking): - Snow mode ON - Lock Mode + ESP Off(TCS is ON then) But in snow mode I think you dont have 4x4 turned right on, only base on need discovered by system. In LOCK mode you have 4x4 from start(some power applied to rear wheels). That is why I think it is better to use Lock Mode(+ESP Off). As you want to start driving in mud right away before you potentially dig in.

TC is never off. It is always on but it works on different levels. In Auto and Snow modes it is basically the same. In Sport mode braking force is larger. In Lock mode braking force is two times larger than in Sport mode. By switching ESP off in Lock mode we can speed up the the reaction time of brake intervention.

Increasing tires size could help to find all terrains. And would help off-road performance and ground clearance too. At least was the solution to my T31 X-Trail.

Are you talking about these new shiny girlish models? Maybe old Land Rover was something. New ones (Discovery) looks like being brave in the city only... and cost 3 times Suzuki:P

It can do more for sure. :) Completly agree. But with summer tires, and considering how was slippery there... Of course you can go more aggressive and destroy every puddle and risk not gettng out from it. I love fun of destroying mud by Suzuki, it can really do a lot :) But if you driving alone in the middle of the forest and nobody to pull you out and you have 20 such to pass, it is only a matter of economy of time which way you want to choose ;) I think such approach I showed is better for solo driver. I assure you, it gives me enought rush of adrenaline when it is skidding on this mud ;)
