Hey there man.. what's happening. I'm just now getting into this same issue. I'm no mechanic though but can do smaller things easily on a vehicle. Crank sensor is no biggie but you mentioned it being behind the transfer case. Is that the last word on it.. meaning yeah it's a must to do that. No end around to reach it? Any advice is appreciated from me here in my driveway looking at a crank no start 2007 Suzuki XL7 AWD 3.6 lol. Later..

ScannerDanner recommends this, I've been trying to see if there are developers that are modding newer DSOs that have 2 & 4 channel options which are upgraded versions from the same manufacturers, it is weird that AES is not using those newer devices to flash their firmware to boost sales.

Having Marie help you with your car reminds me when I would hit a wall working on my truck and my wife would come out to the garage giving her perspective on the problem and a hand if needed, and it helped me get energized again to tackle the truck from a new angle. Those were good memories.

Just came across your video using the U Scope, just got one in today finally after the UPS driver decided to drop it off at a unknown address, on my street but luckily, they brought it to me in one piece lol. I been messing around with it, really like it so far. Seems like a very powerful little tool once I get the hang of it. Another great take on your process in Diagnosing, about as real world as you can get. Thanks Man.

Eric great seeing you use the u-scope. Guess will learn it together. Worked all day changing wife's timing belt and water pump. Car has 58000 miles it's a 1999 accord EXL PULLED off all the belts and for a car that's 19yrs old and always garaged and never in the elements not one belt had any cracks or signs of wear. Attachment hardware looked brand new. Used the crank super socket and it came off like melted butter. Looking forward to part two of this video. And yes I'm in the rust belt of Long Island NY. Instead of doing the Hokey Pokey, I cut the wire and put in a bare connector with loose heat shrink. That way I can check circuit resistance first before crimping them together and after have a solid connection for my probes. It’s really easy to cut right through those thin strands or poke off to the side and get the wrong data.

I thought this was a problem on mine but it just stopped running while driving then the starter would engage but it wouldn't crank the engine at all. Put a new starter and still same problem... Can't figure it out but was running normal before. Checked fuses relays all good. Wondering if it's ecu getting random codes always changing. But don't get why the new starter isn't engaging the gear to spin the flywheel it's wierd.

Hi Eric, I admire youre video's and youre nolice. But you are telling us that de crankshaft position sensor sends a signal to the ECU. In fact the CKS grounds the 5 or 12V bias voltage from the ECM when its working properly.. So when you are measuring the CKS from the ECU you should see 5 or 12V from the ECU to the CKS.
