When it comes to this outboard, even though I don't like having to change the oil due to taking off the cowling. The fuel system is easy to access one the cowl is taken off! Maybe it's time to make a video on it. 🤔

I have the DF20A. So many problems with this motor. Do yourself a favor and find something else.

60 hours on my 2019 DF20AES2, the throttle cable started on fire (smoking bad) and locked up in the 3/4 throttle position. Real handy when you're on an island, 2 miles from shore. I was able to start it, slam it in gear and force it to WOT to get home. Being the lightest outboard in its class and with all the features, electric in addition to pull start, an actual oil filter, fuel injection and ability to start and run without a battery, I was convinced this would be a reliable problem free outboard for 1,000 hours or more. Didn't even make 100 hours without a major failure making it inoperable. Pathetic. I'm going back to Yamaha outboards (loved every F200 I've owned), as they've finally caught up with fuel injection on the lower hp models. Take care Suzuki.

Trick question. What parts are different between the 9.5, 15 and 20 hp Suzuki? The ECU (computer) and the decal.

Do you know how much wil cost to convert a 9.9 into a 20 hp ?

Well, I’m in error, there is also a a restrictor plate in front of the throttle body whereas the 20 has a flame arrester screen ($9). There have been some that have swapped it and said the difference was amazing but I have no idea if it could be harmful due to a possible lean condition. The electrical conversation is expensive, about $600.

@@nobelaval55 in Moscow, Russia uploading 20hp firmware cost $55 only. You can remove metal plate from intake and get 15 hp.

It has the worst fuel pump..lots of defects.. I have DF15A
