Keep in mind Suzy, both Vegeta and even Nappa are stronger than King Kai, but he doesn't shown to be afraid of them. But seeing Frieza on Namek is where he shows genuine fear. That speaks volumes, Suzy. And believe in what King Kai said, Frieza truly is on a whole different league.

Piccolo even told Goku to ignore King Kai warnings about Frieza and get the Dragon Balls to wish them back to life anyways. But sooner or later, she will learn what Frieza is truly capable off.

I remember Piccolo's "joke" in Spanish. It was better because he said it like a tongue twister. It would go something like this: "Forget it! Why would I be interested to train with the traumatic trio there?" It's a little bit better in Spanish, tried to translate it the best way I could.

Last time King Kai only made Goku tell a joke because he assumed Goku wanted comedy training. It's funny to think that this little mistake made King Kai realize this was a fun way to weed out those unworthy of training, and incorporated it into his ways.

In Spanish Piccolo’s joke was “yo nunca trataré de entrenar con un trío tan traumatizante” (I’ll never try to train with such a traumatizing trio) which immediately leads to King Kaio bursting into laughter because such phrase in Spanish sounds like a tongue twister.

Yamcha just showed up with the scars in Dragon Ball at the 23rd tournament. We don't know what happened, it was probably just a way to show that he had trained hard during the years since King Piccolo's defeat.
