25. Engine and Propeller Alignment. Wooden Boat Restoration.

In this episode we get back aboard Andromeda with the camera's and tools and spend a bit of time lining her engine with the propeller shaft coupling. Andromeda's engine is a big one for a 27ft yacht, she houses a Vetus M4.14 which is a four cylinder 1400cc Diesel engine. The engine itself is a Mitsubishi K4D plant engine, often used in mini diggers which is essentially marinised by Vetus with the addition of a heat exchanger unit, raw water pump and gearbox assembly.
I will talk through the maintenance, service and running procedures for this engine in a later episode once I've got it all up and running.
