SVC Mid-Travel Review Is It Worth It??

Had an amazing time running through the desert with the new Mid-Travel Kit from SVC Off-Road! It changed my Ford Raptor into a completely different truck. In this video I highlighted the positives and negatives and came up with my take on the Mid-travel.

I love the build and the truck looks awesome, but why did you start with a gen 2 raptor vs say a 15+ f150 5.0 if you’re going to completely redo the suspension and put wide fiberglass on it? I only ask what would be the pros of starting with a raptor as I am looking to build one myself next year

Interior, drive modes, plus the motor in the raptor is more than adequate for the suspension I have a supercharged 5.0 with the welded in buckets and long travel etc and it’s just loud with less interior options and less tech. I bought a 2020, had I known then what I do now, I’d have waited and bought a gen 3 raptor and called it a day.

Sick man! It's a fun setup! Yeah, any Bypass Shocks you run are going to "click" it's the valves opening and closing. That means your shock is working properly. The sound is annoying sometimes... but the price we pay for having a bad ass offroad rig lol

@@Josh_Rowe is that kit 3 inches wider than stock per side right? Is it a huge difference in front to rear width compared to the rear?

It’s surprisingly not that noticeable. Doesn’t look bad or anything I was worried about that too. If you were to match the rear wheels to the front you’d have to put on a Currie rear end and fiberglass. Which is a lot of extra money for little performance gain

I've been kicking the idea around of going with the rpg kit. They claim increased steering radius with a decreased steering scrub radius. With you saying you lost some steering angle radius that pretty much made up my mind on the 2. Did u have them weld on there upper coil over shock mount or are you running the stock bucket like your buddy with the fox's?

Aaron Bowe so it’s the stock bucket for the Coil overs and a welded on bracket for the 3.5 bypass. So 4 shocks total for the front. RPG makes a good kit - you won’t get as much travel and smoothness off-road like you will with the SVC but you do get to maintain that turn radius! A lot of people we go out to the desert with run rpg I haven’t heard problems
