Thanks for posting.. I told the mechanic at the shop that my TIRE SENSOR MONITOR light was lit on the dash. He said its most likely a sensor that needs to be replaced... $106 part & Labor! I was able to reset it with the help of this video. Thanks again!!

Eap0323 I don’t know if you’ve figured this out by now but 08-12 Malibu’s do not allow you to self program a key fob, I looked all over the internet and even went to my Chevy dealership and they said only the dealership can do it. How ever, do not buy the key fob from them, they tried to sell me my key fob for $85 and program it for $60. I bought my key fob off of eBay for $12 and got two of them, I had them program it for the $60 though lol.

Always start with the tires inflated to the proper range, that's what I do. Fill them all to say, 35psi. Then SLOWLY let the air out, the sensors are very sensitive, they need to register a change but if you let the air out quickly, it might not catch it. I've had tires filled right out the tire shop doors at 45 so "hey I'll do the relearn by releasing air down to normal" and that hasn't worked 3 out of 3 times! Weird huh? I've done this dozens of times across multiple Chevy vehicles. Fill to 35, let air or slowly for 15-20 seconds, You'll be successful... providing the sensors aren't dead ;) then re-inflate after they're properly programmed, have an air compressor handy or be at a gas station that has air when doing this.

Just open up your keypad and glue aluminum foil to the inside of the buttons. It will work good as new! Had the same problem with mine.

What you wanna do is, start by deflating or inflating the tire driver side first. When your car beeps, go to the passengers side & do the same thing. Work your way around the car clockwise. But remember to put the key on the on position and hold the lock n unlock buttons to start the program.

Hey quick question. What happens if the key is on the on/ off position ready to reset in the ignition. Push the unlock and lock buttons at the same time. Even though where the doors are unlocking and locking up. The horn doesn't make a sound.

shouldn't get check engine light, just tire icon light. Different problem. Need to keep an engine code reader in your Malibu at all times!

You wanna deflate or inflate drivers side tire first ClockWise. When hear a beep, you will need to go to the passenger tire and do the same thing. Work your way around. Good luck

i didnt have to do that. just add air to the tire thats lower than 30 PSI because the average psi for each tires supposed to be at least 30 to 35. once a tire goes lower than 30 the car tells you to they need service. Once all your tires or between 30 snd 35 your gonna notice the service light still comes on. give it a couple of days to let the car realizes the tires been serviced and the light disappears. this happened to me personally . see if it works for you

nana xzii You Must Follow These Instructions. Insert your Key into the Ignition & Turn it to On Position, But Don't Start The Car. Next, On your KEYPAD, Hold The Lock & Unlock Button for 5 Sec. Next, Driver Side Wheel, You Will Deflate or Inflate That Wheel until Your Horn Beeps, Go Around to the Passenger side & Deflate or Inflate until Your Horn Beeps. Next Will be the Passengers Rear Wheel. Follow the same steps & Next will be the last wheel. Once Completed your Horn will double beep. Good Luck

my 2011 chevy malibu loses air pressure on all four tires. I tfilled them up and A week later, the warning lights came on they were low. RF 26 LF 29 Both rears 28. The car had 55,000 miles on it so I took it to get new tires. A week later the lights came on again. So I took it back and they said they put on new valve stems. About a month later, it started again. Tires are low pressure. LF 26 RF 28 RR 28 RL27. I can't believe it. I have to pump up the right front each week for sure. It was on 27 and a week later I went to go to the store and it said it was 22. How can 4 brand new ties with new valve stams lose air on all four tires? I have NEVER had a car do this. I don't drive much but that is still no reason to lose air, day by day when it's garaged. Now it's doing it about every three days I have to pump up the right front tire to 30 psi. It says 30psi but when I googled it just now a lot of sites say a 2011 should be 35psi. I'm lost.

Shmed Med mine is like that in one tire. i have a bad sensor. i have to take it to get a replacement. the sensor is not that expensive very cheap :)

Basically you press the info and reset buttons on left side of steering wheel for one sec. and it will go to another menu, scroll to tire learn and press enter then proceed as Livi'N'Paradise has so kindly shown to clear code and relearn each sensor for location. I has same issue pop up when replacing dead battery. Hope this helps. I would suggest checking out the other clip I have in this comment for starting the process. Try unplugging the power supply from the battery for like 30 seconds and then follow the steps again. Try that.

Filling tires all up to 35 psi starting out, start the process with the key in auxiliary, hear the double beeps, leave the key in the same position, follow the direction of the lights indicating which tire to go to, deflate slowly until it beeps, last tire (driver side rear) deflate until a beep then double beeps. Last time I did it, I disconnected the battery for at least 30 seconds.

I just put on snow tires, they're all at the proper psi, but my 2010 Malibu will not register it on my dash. Just shows the blank slots. I'm going to try and reset everything by disconnecting the battery and turn the key on and off twice... Then reconnect the battery... hopefully that will clear the alarms and reset the psi readings. We'll see. Is this a normal issue with snow tires?

Restart the Programming. If it doesn't read that specific tire, then the sensor with that tire is bad.
