Glad to see Libertee, and glad that they brought her back to you and she is okay. How I remember going to QVC with my miniature schnauzer who did not want to go in, did not want to get on scale, was shaking and wanted to get out of there. I am just amazed how calm your dogs are there. Godiva, Sweet Tee, Penny, and Dazzle are doing an amazing job as well as you (and Jim), and the puppies are growing fast. You are amazing in sharing so much information with us. I was so shocked to hear the story you shared about your childhood, but we are so blessed to have a great breeder who cares so much for the schnauzers and everyone you come in contact with. Mocha looks great as well. I hope you have enough support to help you out with all of the cute schnauzers with more puppies to come at the end of the month. I wish we would have met sooner, and I would have loved to assist you; however, I have to learn so much from you about dog nutrition and training techniques. Seeing Dazzle reminds me of my schnauzer who I miss every day. You are one amazing person Shawn!

Aw, you have made me melt. Thank you for your kind comment. We are in this together and it is an adventure ... a journey ... the path is not always clear to me. Mocha is sooooo sweet and I adore him as much as he loves me. My husband tells him he is a "momma's boy" and Mocha tells Jim, "Yes I am!" Aw, thank you Marilyn, the challenge of course is I can't keep every dog that I bring into the world ... and continue to be a dog breeder ... and YES I am glad to have her home under these circumstances but I do believe that Libertee was happy and well bonded to some members of the family. The person who dropped Libertee off loved her and Libertee was very attached to her. Because Libertee was coming back to a place she knows well and to me who she slept next to for much of her life, she was not traumatized by the transition but I am sure that Libertee felt loved by the family who had her. I am grateful they returned her to me rather than giving her to someone else or worse putting her in a shelter.

I think everyone is very happy in this situation and yes, Libertee, is relaxed and peaceful. I am thankful to them for returning her to me since they were no longer able to keep her.

Whew! 🤪Don’t know how you do all that at once. You are amazing Shawn & Jim!!! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾 My 7 lb Maltese girls had slight luxating patella all their lives and lived till 13-14 years -no surgery and never a real issue.

Yes, it is fascinating ... and I am so happy to know that Libertee doesn't have a luxating patella or any other issue that requires surgery not or later. It is interesting ... as my vet says it is a good think he doesn't have a car payment or a house payment etc to worry about ... not saying that is what happened here but I am aware of times in my own past when I took a dog to one vet and got a diagnosis that did not make sense and then went to another vet for a second opinion and heard nothing about the issue the first vet mentioned. In one case a vet told me a dog I had (not this breed) would have to be on RX food all his life and that he had heart worms and would have to undergo treatment ... I felt I was being pushed into buying the type of food they sold at a very high price and what I was hearing did not make sense. I declined and went to another vet who never mentioned either issue and that dog is thriving today - not on the RX food. Please know I have a very high respect for vets! I just realize not all of them have my dog's best interest in mind if they are feeling pressure to pay their bills and when it doesn't feel right it is worth digging deeper - which is what was needed here for me with Libertee. Thank you!

Wow, I'm so glad Libertee is back home! I cried when she left because I knew it wasn't going to be a good thing for her. She belongs with you and the rest of her village. I feel the same about Mocha (hope he'll be staying with you or very close to you). My guess is they weren't brushing her teeth so that's why she's got some tarter buildup. Oh well...glad she's back where she belongs! Thanks for the update on Libertee, Godiva, Dazzle and their babies! 💛

Sometimes things just don't work out and I am glad to see that Liberty was returned to you. Sweet Liberty. I always loved seeing her when I would come visit. Your story about your dog that you had to give away made me cry. I have a similar story involving a pet when I was 9 or so that I will share with you sometime.

Shawn-I am so sorry about Dazzle's little one. I know it is very difficult but I also know you did everything you could 🙏❤️. Seeing Libertee again is wonderful. I know it wasn't easy but the family did the right thing and I am so glad it was a situation where she could be rehomed with you versus a stranger because she deserves the best. Many people do not understand that rehoming isn't always a terrible thing... it might be a little sad for everyone involved but it is the responsible thing to do for the dog. I am very affected by some childhood experiences too and I completely understand.... my life's work was to give my daughter everything that I did not have pertaining to emotional support and to provide my daughter with a safe home where she could thrive and not struggle. Yes! Carrots and cow hooves are my go-to things. Also enzymatic tooth paste for dogs too.
