Sailing SV Delos

What's it like to catch your own food, build a beach fire, and cook it under the stars with amazing friends? In today's video we follow Plukky into a system of cracks and caverns in the outer reef. I accidentally corner a Goliath Grouper twice my size and nearly get smashed when it freaks out. We make some great friends with the local Kuna and donate a solar charging system to their village. It's time to leave our beloved San Blas and we prepare to set sail for the Panama Canal!

You can just see how much the village appreciated the charger by them giving you some of their finest gifts. They will be some of your favorite things years from now. I once spent many hours in a dugout with a local tribesmen in the Amazon. We were returning from a trip deep into the rainforest. It was only the two of us and we couldn’t speak each other’s language. But, we developed a bond. When I saw him days later he gifted me a statue he had carved. When ever I look at it, it brings me back to that afternoon of slowly paddling down that watery tributary of endless nature.

I congratulate you, because you teach Sierra to be just as humble and even more so, you teach us that humility must come first in everything. God blesses them day by day, also multiplies them in health, in food, in everything. What a great gift you have given to people who need it through their long journeys.. I know I’m late to the party (😂)but truly love seeing the family dynamic and even the basics of how you cook on the boat. Especially loved Kazza showing what she was cooking and the ingredients ahead of the dish being made. Love the play by play and - of course - seeing Sierra grow! I’m a mom of a 2.5 year old and I’m just amazed and intrigued by how y’all make traveling with a toddler look so amazing and doable. Totally appreciate that we may not see *all* the struggles you go through but just loving seeing a different version of how life as a family with a toddler can be done. So appreciate the videos and will continue my catchup until I’m in real time. Oh and Parlay sent me! 🤙

A few random observations: - It seems like every time I see Kazza and fire in the same frame she is either throwing something on the fire or sticking something in it... - Brian, your grouper buddy has probably been plying the ocean longer than Delos... - And the Oscar for Best Direction of a documentary short goes to... Kazza! - It seems Brian's "engineer speak" and "Cuna speak" are about as diametrically opposite as two things can be. - If Brian and Kazza were living in Seattle or any other city and were going on an outing with other childless couples, the expectation would be they get a babysitter for Sierra. Yet while cruising, Sierra fits in relatively seamlessly with those childless couples. That is truly special for Sierra and her development! Keep up the great videos and above all STAY SAFE! ⛵❤️😁

Hey George! Ha ha yes... Two options there either A)Kazza is a secret pyro B) It happens so infrequently that we must film it every time :). Sierra does remarkably well with the others, in fact most cruising kids we've met do. Fair winds amigo and chat next week. Brian

You Two and the Nugg are So Awesome! To see your generosity shared with the Islanders is Commendable in Spades! To think if we lived in a world where giving was a pleasure, especially when the needs are there. And when it improves the lives of others that you have encounters with! You are, and will Always be Blessed because of the Nature you have. Just happened upon this video and you have made my Day. Last 5 years have been a financial burden and my heart is to support many of you wonderful Cruisers! And Yes, raised a family of 5 children and Bride for many years aboard, home schoolers when it was favored etc. Your tube life that we weren't funded by Patreon. Roflmao, God Always Blessed us and we at least have memories. We had a video life without the video. It would be incredible to go back 50 years and see all the episodes. I would probably weep smile and enjoy revisiting every bit if it. Keep On, Keep Safe, and continue Blessing others by just being yourselves! Thank You, Love you guys

I grew up bilingual and travelling between countries, so I'm always noticing things to do with people's linguistics' ability, and I have noticed how over the last three years, even if Kaza's English was already good back from the start, her fluency and the use of idiomatic phrases has gotten noticeably better and more relaxed, not only by being next to Brian all the time (where you notice which are the things she literally picked up), but also by being often intimately exposed in social gatherings with other Americans, women and people in general travelling through the islands. That's what actually provides the grease to make newly learned speech flow. My mother came to the States from Argentina a couple of years before I was born, but because she had a lot of "control" issues and prejudices about different countries, political history etc (opposite Kaza) in 40 years she never got better or so much as added an extra word to her repertoire. She possibly learned a lot, but kept it inside and never used it. ... Oh ya! Congrats too on the donation. That was very cool I agree. I wonder if you could make it a regular thing with any of these tech companies, so that they see it and formalize it as a way of promoting their products??
