Hey Rabat, This a genre of music called classic Goa Trance. This cut was released in 1991-92. Many of us traveled to Anjuna Beach back then to the state of Goa in India to here this music played in outdoor parties. One of my favorite cuts of that time is this song, but with the Tribal Acid Mix. You have to hear that mix. One of the greatest Goa Trance songs for me. There are still Classic Goa Trance parties being held here and there around the world, but most people have moved on to psytrance which to me does not have the tribal, mystical feel of the Classic Goa Trance. +Timothy Hilton Hi! I've never been in Goa, but I'm listening to Goatrance since '96. Too sad for me I met Goatrance at this moment, but it was better than nothing. Sad, because that organic, unique, and mystical sound vanished through the years, but I've seen that the programming of the phrases have changed too much and yes, Psytrance has nothing to do with Goatrance anymore (it never had...). We passed from a unique sound never heard before to a sound based on a bassline with the same note, repeating itself all the pattern. So sad to know we are not going to hear more colorful and ethnic scented music as we used to do when it all began. And to finish, I recommend you two oldschool gems: The muses rapt - 'Corazón de fuego'. Hyperborea - Eraczek (Return To Reality Mix). Have fun!

Yes, its true, the organic, unique and mystical sound of classic Goa Trance did vanish, but there are several thousand songs that were made and you can spend years piecing back together the puzzle of the golden years of Goa Trance. I have been doing exactly that over the past few years. Classic Goa Trance was still coming out occasionally up to 2003, but most came before 1998 starting around 1991 with several good cuts starting even as far back as 1989. Thanks for sharing the 2 songs above. Yes, they do have the Classic Goa sound. It's true also that the psytrance cannot really be called Goa Trance even though it piggy backed upon Goa Trance before it took over. To me, psytrance lost the soul that was in Goa Trance. Also lost some of it's warmth. A song I am listening to as I write this is Neuwerk-Flying inuit and Earth-From here to now. Released in 1998. Best wishes on the Goa Trance path.
