he has a translator in his ear bro. It's the biggets show in german history, almost 1/5th of germans watched it everytime it was on. All stars from around the world were coming there to promote their stuff. Being a bit awkward and getting even the most famous stars in funny and a bit weird situations was what made this show so special.

Liszt was a Chinese composer... He's known for composing many Chinese songs like Sun Flowers. He wrote many Chinese folk tunes, which is why Lang Lang played a blend of both.

No question, he is INSANE. He always plays too fast, but I liked it. I want that piano (revoiced). Also the very stiff polite German clapping is quite funny.

@Skygrapped The second piece is a part of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 He has chosen this part aware because it is particularly gimmicky. This is no criticism of Lang Lang, but rather reflects against the lack of artistic taste of the audience that had long long access to this part of the play. The audience takes the music is not in itself, but respondsST only to simple rhythms. Music must breathe with the soul. SO UND JETZT VERSTEHEN ALLE WAS DU GESAGT HAST. HOFFE HABE ALLES RICHTIG ÜBERS.

Actually it's not improvisation, it's Horowitz transcription. You can hear this cadenza played fantastic by Volodos also. But nevertheless Lang Lang is super!

I liked his song, but then I hated that he MASHED Liszt in on the end. It made it sound as if this were a homework assignment that he didn't complete on time so he improvised at the last second or something.

Ist doch schön wenn Musik so eine Wirkung hat. Es ist schließlich ein folk tune, der sicher mal genau das beabsichtigt hat. Dass er das auf eine tolle Art und Weise interpretiert, ist für die die es verstehen gut und stört die anderen nicht. Win win sozusagen. Siehe Gangnam Style: ein bescheuertes Lied das schafft die ganze Welt zu begeistern, dessen Video gleichzeitig eine tiefgründigere Botschaft trägt (einfach er-googeln)

Lang Lang kann man echt nichts vorwerfen. Er spielt die Stücke so, wie das dekadente Publikum sie hören möchte, um seinen Erfolg zu maximieren. Wie er privat musiziert und ob er überhaupt eine Liebe zur Musik hat(wurde als Kind immerhin brutal zum Klavierspielen gezwungen) , steht auf einem ganz anderen Blatt.

Also er ist auf jedenfall e in extrem guter Musiker und er weis was er tut, das ist gut... Meiner Meinung nach möchte er damit auch Musik als Kunst weiterverbreiten und nicht nur den eindruck erwecken man verdient ne menge Geld damit. Ausserdem hat er ein sehr Symphatisches Gesicht... :D Mir gefällt seine Musik
