Easily could've been replaced especially with this.yeah it's groovy but in comparison to the rest of the album it sounds "cheap" and budget. A filler track for sure. This is a masterpiece and how this didn't make the cut is a mystery.

This sounds like an extremely personal song by Michael. I remember reading a few quotes by him talking about his views on love and what he wants from a partner, &c. A lot of that seems to be reflected here. Michael did everything he did in his career to feel loved by others. The lyrics seem to reflect this goal.
