@@CreateALase Hi thank you for your prompt reply and very useful videos. I've recently purchased a snapmaker and it seems some setting is quite off. A similar design to yours is estimated to take 35 mins! Have you got any experience with snapmaker 2.0 or any tips please? Thank you so much

Hi afb, Yes your laser is not really powerful enough to cut MDF, though possibly if you have the 1.6W Laser You may cut Plywood. I would recommend trying thinner soft woods, up to 2mm thick. Thinner will give you a cleaner cut with less burning or charring. Our Laser is CO2 35W, this is really the minimum for cutting MDF, Acrylic etc. Possibly a better solution with your machine is to 3D print the topper, create the design, extrude it by about 2mm thick. Should be easy to load the svg into your software and extrude. to create the stl mesh you need. If you like we can make a video on how to create the cake topper in Fusion 360 ready to print.
