Svord (New Zealand) knife review. Hand made in New Zealand in 1988. I have used this knife for hunting for 36 years. 4 3/4 inch blade. High Carbon Swedish Steel. Hand made. Full tang. Great all-round hunting knife and very strong.

I own several models of Svord knives, each is a fine example of the type, very well-made knives. The deluxe versions are certainly nicer than than their budget orientated styles. Solid review Dave.

Thanks mate. Yes great knives and I think reasonable value. I remember that knife being razor sharp when I got it. I was cutting an orange with it on a deer hunt and sliced my thumb with it! 🇳🇿 🇦🇺

@@david6920-r6z yeah my Von Tempsky came very sharp straight from the factory, a very nice convex edge and can still shave hair to this day. I also have the deluxe pig sticker, a really nice knife too. I would have loved to get their Hog Beater and Ned Kelly but they are scarce these days, almost impossible to get.

Thats an awesome piece. I like a lot of svords fixed blades. The von tempsky line is my style. I have intentions to buy a fixed blade kiwi. The only svord i own right now is a peasants knife. I love it though. It stays in my go bag as an extra trustworthy cutter. Thanks for sharing

thanks for commenting. yes the Svords are great and the Von Tempsky is an iconic kiwi Bowie design with a great history behind it. Svord make so many great knives. the Peasant knife is great and I like the look of their Golok as well. cheers Chris 🇺🇸 🇳🇿
