Easiest one hand open is to hold it tip up with the spine facing into your palm, thumb and forefinger push the scales away from you and as it releases close your hand to complete the opening. Tip down, prying the lever works too but much easier to do as described above 😊

You're right! It works!

Eh, black one? Survivors should carry orange, yellow or red in the woods. 🙃 I have the yellow normal sized one, and I love it. 😎 Apply some rubber O-ring on the back pivot, you will save it from the blade cut into it.😉

Great suggestions!! I only went with the black one for testing purposes. "Urban EDC"

Ive bought about six so far, mini peasant is all I carry anymore. Keep it a little tighter towards the bottom, to make sure it doesn’t open in pocket.

These Svords are little rock stars in my opinion!

For that price, definitely should pick one up.

Pretty cool, I have always wanted to check one out but still haven't picked one up. I don't think I am a fan of friction folders but the Svord is a classic. Thanks for sharing!

It's not my style of knife either. I like a good locking blade but it's still pretty cool.

I have the larger one and it takes some manipulation to open it one handed, but like any other system you adopt the methods and it becomes a part of you. This knife takes a wicked edge and is easy to carry. One or two of these would be good for a bugout bag. I put some bluing on mine to help protect the blade. I do that with nearly all of my carbon blades.
@SurvivingtheDaily5 ай бұрын
That is a great tip! I might want to blue some of my blades in the future, would you suggest cold bluing only?
@egbluesuede12207 ай бұрын
I would never say that is better than any of those other knives. I picked one up a few years ago for $12 (no idea where it even is now) and did not like the cheap plastic handle and the flipper opening was slow and awkward. To each his own I guess.

It does take some getting used to.

How cool, it looks like a straight razor until you open it!
@SurvivingtheDaily Жыл бұрын
That would be awesome if they made a straight razor style blade.

How's the pocket carry on this? This style has always struck me as awkward
@TBEDC Жыл бұрын
It’s great

I haven't carried it yet but i feel like it would be better than a sak or other small knife because its long enough it can't turn sideways.
@thespokenword64565 ай бұрын
It's not an issue at all. I carry daily. You don't even feel it in there.
@Survival-gyver Жыл бұрын
Personally not a fan of that knife. Seems overly complicated to open quickly.
@SurvivingtheDaily Жыл бұрын
Compared to a normal pocket knife yes. But still easier than a Swiss army knife.
@Survival-gyver Жыл бұрын
@@SurvivingtheDaily True. but until that knife does as much as a trusty Swiss army knife, it will always be second or third best
@SurvivingtheDaily Жыл бұрын
@@Survival-gyver agreed. It will probably end up in my coat at work. Used only for things I don't want to put my good pocket knife though.
@thespokenword64565 ай бұрын
How is a one handed open, 'complicated'? It's quite literally the simplest folding blade possible...
@Survival-gyver5 ай бұрын
@@thespokenword6456 how bout a flipper that takes less than a second to open. Or an OTF?
