I got little giddy when I saw you brought these in for review! I’ve been obsessed with your channel of late… especially your comparison reviews and my favourite- your home theatre reviews such as the B&W Cinema, Klipsch Cinema, MA Cinergy Cinema… nowhere else can you find this sort of content with properly setup home theatre rooms + DTS:X & Atmos Demo Disc demos + detailed feedback on all the players… just brilliant man! Very grateful for your channel and efforts! I hope you’ll eventually get an opportunity to set up the whole package of Evolution speakers in a home theatre environment with some DTS/Atmos demo disc demos and let us know what you think? I’m very much confused about whether to go for dedicated theatre speakers like the KLIPSCH THX/B&W CT series vs a fabulously sexy set of Hifi speakers like these evolutions? The area is very much our main chilling/eating dinner/L-shaped lounge room, yet the space is 95% dedicated to watching movies, so much so that I have started and will continue to place acoustic treatment all over until the reflections are tamed. So it’s certainly not an ideal closed off rectangle with perfect light control, yet it is a space dedicated to only watching films (music listening done elsewhere) and while we will be sharing the space with Absorption, Diffusion & 7.2.4 speakers, I’m pretty confident I can maintain the room’s aura of cool and come hither! Geez, I hope that doesn’t make it more difficult to advise me?

@@snowinokinawa you can basically go either way it depends on the look you want to go for. These speakers want to be seen so you can place them as statement pieces. Where the thx systems are made more industrial to disappear. when you are ready send me the room layout and lets have a look.

@@homecinemaking397 Oh… and on a quick side note, I heard another report regarding the Pinnacles getting a little bass heavy in less than extra-large rooms and as such responding extremely well to just one of their rear ports being plugged with foam, as seen on your PB16 subwoofer in the video you just uploaded. They reported a significantly quicker, tighter and more refined response from the bass when doing this. Maybe worth a try.

@@mickegullberg574 there dynamic ability and impact. The only place i would say RF7 wins is if you like the horn loaded tweeter and its dispersion. Apart from that the svs will sweep the floor in every aspect. Ah and the RF7 is much more efficient. Hope that helps?

But of course audio subjective based on the room, the person, how they're set up. I've been doing audio since 1990 I built many systems from any clients in many rooms and the speaker sound different in every house I put them in. So it just really boils down to how you set them up based on their specs and positioning. But like I said I like the European sound better anyway. In my opinion all the European manufacturers are way ahead of the US ones minus a few of course being magical and Martin Logan. Over here in the US people are more infatuated with high volume levels and extreme distracting bass. For them that's what sounds good.

Come on man that is weak wiring. Bi-wire at a minimum. Bi-amp horizontal is critical.

But the problem with that design is the speakers beam... The only reason why the focals don't do it is because they're monstrously tall so if you're standing up or elevate yourself above the listening spot the sound stage and image leaves but because the folk cows are so tall even if you stand up there still above you and they don't beam.. and the off-axis response on these speakers aren't that great... I prefer European speakers all day long.... Other than Martin Logan, Magico

I guess I'm just used to ribbon tweeters they're wide airy dispersion and their ability to disappear in the room and not beam and not lose off access response. That's why I love monitor audio because they have superior build quality and they use ribbon tweeters on the upper end of their product. And they move the driver technology down one series as they develop new product. Most of the products I install are you speakers at have ribbon tweeters. For the exception of magical and Martin Logan I'm not a big American speaker fan I prefer the European style they tend to me more balanced.. really don't care how loud they can play All they really care about The image the sound stage and the off-axis response. I want to be able to close my eyes and they disappear into the room

@@homecinemaking397 detailed and clear yes but when you shift your head to the left the left speaker gets louder than the right rather than the image coming from the center like the center channels on the whole image moves to the left if you move your head to the right the whole soundstage moves to the right in the right speakers louder That's what I mean by off access response. The speaker sounded good when I heard them when your sitting in the middle right on the access but as soon as you move out of the axis up or down the sound changes and if I'm not the only one in the room sitting on the couch they're not going to hear the same thing I'm hearing because I'm in the center
