I can imagine it sounds incredible. Just looked at the cost they are 999 euro's each. So thats about 4 grand or 5 grand in dollars to get those. I currently have two PC2000 Sub's they do sound good but i have tested a sealed 12 once and the extra detail was noticeable. The problem is selling these and buying new sub's will be quite te investment. + In the Netherlands the market for home cinema is small. Most people have a TV and maybe a soundbar but thats it. They dont like the mess extra speakers and sub's make and they like the steap cost increase for a dedicated system.

I’m glad that you came to the same logical conclusion that I did. The increased price is not worth it, because an added amp would be a bigger upgrade, or adding Dirac if you have a smaller room and don’t need an amp. If you have 95dB+ sensitive speakers you may want to go with the 4800h due to the 10dB lower noise floor. You can compare the measurements of both AVRs at AudioSceinceReview. The 4800 is a little better all around, but not massively so.

Klipsch has made some interesting choices with their market segmentation and naming over the years. Back in the early 2010s their "reference" line (RB-61 II, 81 II, etc...) had titanium tweeters and cerametallic woofers. Those are features only found in the Reference Premier line now. The regular "reference" line now has aluminum tweeters and IMG woofers. I'd be curious to see how the RF-7 III's stack up against some of the older big Klipsch towers, such as the KLFs. The KLFs are legendary. Even the "baby" KLF-10 is on par with the RF-7 III on paper. The KLF-30 should outclass it. I love Klipsch, but it's hard to justify paying $4000+ USD for a pair of RF-7 IIIs when speakers like the Tekton Pendragon exist for $2500 or less.
