No they weren't trained by imperial stormtroopers as we see their accuracy is way worse and barley hit their shots bad stormtrooper accuracy is Disney's fault thanks star wars rebels you let the main troopers only kill a few people plot armor the force and force users drag the stormtroopers down but lucky the mandolarian andor the comics games and rouge One improves their reputation with them getting many kills

Apparently this droid will be in the LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga video game. You can see a similar one in that six minute trailer for the game. And the wookipedia page for this droid says it's in the game.
