Swaledale - Roan Beck Caravan Park & Walk from Hurst to Fremington Edge, North Yorkshire

We visit Roan Beck Caravan Site in Hurst, between Richmond and Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England. This is the first in a series of videos on the Yorkshire Dales featuring Swaledale camping and walking.
While we are there, we take a walk from Hurst to Fremington Edge, overlooking Reeth, Swaledale and Arkengarthdale, we walk along the edge up Arkengarthdale and then head back to Hurst through the derelict lead mine workings from the 19th Century.
If you enjoy walking or hiking you will most likely love the Yorkshire Dales.

A fantastic area around Reeth, that little campsite looked awesome, especially with the weather you got, not sure on a windy rainy day though 🙂 5 miles to a pub though !!!!!! 🙂Roxy really loves water,🙂 We are in Hudswell next week so will be having a drive over to Reeth and Hawes probably as well , take care Trev Debz and Tyler

The campsite is spot on, we loved it, and as you say it’s a fantastic area. Enjoy Hudswell and hope you manage to get to Reeth and Hawes. Hi thank you for the lovely comment. It is the most spectacular part of the world. We are looking forward to the rest in the series. David says the walk was 5.2 miles (my feet say longer!) I was so proud of little Roxy with those bikes - I was shocked she went back to look at them! Hi Gill, we did just over 5 miles, all be it should have been around 4.5 miles with the route as took so we must have pottered for half a mile.
