Your show is so compelling without all the nonsense most KZbinrs resort to. None of the fluff, all of the stuff 😁

But his whole show is nonsense. Making big noise of an old story in 1907. Could be this…. Could be that….
@stillstormie72222 жыл бұрын
Cool, don't watch him then...most of us here really enjoy all his nonsense.🙄 How is he supposed to do anything else with an attack that happened so long ago? If there is a newspaper article, he shows it - other than that, it's his show, he is allowed to speculate a little... Do you just feel the need to bitch about something? Need a hug, a chat? What's up?

Instead of all the bullshit he spreads he should tell the truth about the sharks situation worldwide. There are yearly 8 to 10 fatal accidents with sharks but mankind kills 150000000 (count the zeros) sharks every year destroying marine ecosystems with tremendous consequences to this mankind who is totally unaware of this facts. Instead of his hu-hu-huu stories he should talk about possibilities to save sharks and to thereby save our oceans.

The way you just sit there and deliver these stories in a methodical organized fashion, giving us a map zoom, some shark shots, and sit there looking right at the camera, speaking in a way like you have the story memorized and almost as if you were there and are giving us your war stories like the guy from jaws (who is on your wall!), and then always end it with predation or not, is just so enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Quint was played by Robert Shaw. Love his speech about being on USS Indianapolis. Someone was assigned to follow him around to stop him from drinking alcohol, but he got away at times, so some of the scenes you see of him... he's sloshed! Additionally, the line Captain Brody states ("You're going to need a bigger boat.") was ad-libbed by Roy Scheider. It's also where Richard Dreyfuss got his start. I read the book in high school before the movie came out. I know lots more about it just by researching. Love the movie although it's about killing a shark. Love sharks, 💙🦈 this channel, and Shark Week! Another great one Hal!!!

I went swimming in the ocean……once. Destin Florida. I swam about 100 yards out. I stopped, looked around and got scared. So I started swimming back to shore, thinking, “don’t worry, 1 in a million, 1 in a million.” As I was swimming, something hit my foot. Don’t know what it was, didn’t stop to look. I just kept swimming, knowing there was NO WAY I could outswim whatever it was. Never went back in, at least not over knee deep.

LOL sounds sad to me but to each their own. I swam multiple times in FL when I lived there (incredibly unforgettable & joyful experience) without much fear (millions of ppl swim In the FL waters! Only ever see surfers attacked. I was a bit admittedly more fearful after seeing a 5-8 ft shark chasing a school of fish right where I'd been standing a momnt b4, leaving the water after a swim one day. Ran like hell, LMAO, still returned b4 long to the water. I still stayed no further than just over my head usually just in case, bc obviously injury means drowning if you're far out. But FL rarely has fatalities- you don't get Whites, bulls, or tigers very often if at all, the ones that attack like spinners and black tips are usually 6-8 ft- not usually big enough to swallow much, tho of course if you're far out there and no one helps you then you may be screwed.

I grew up in monterey. Swam in the ocean many times. One day I was swimming and saw a dolphin infront of me. I was extremely scared at first, I saw the fin and back and thought it was a shark. I was excited and reached out to touch it. As my hands touched it I saw right past it a Dorsal Fin nearly 2 ft tall or larger attached to a massive body. I immediately backed up with my eyes on it. When it went under I dashed for shore. ( I was in about 5 ft of water. Shark in 7 to 8ft about 4 ft away. Dolphin stayed infront of me. I have never been back in the ocean past my waist.

I still enjoy the beach, lakes and rivers, I just won't go in the water. Everybody thinks I'm crazy, but I don't care. I was even thinking about creating an Excel document with information I can find on shark attacks and sending that document to everyone who tells me I'm crazy about worrying about sharks! There was a potential attack this weekend in South Africa. A nutcase jumped into a harbour off a pier, he surfaced and floated a bit before disappearing completely. AFAIK they haven't found his body and it was purported to be a drowning, but it's more likely he was taken by a big Bull or even a Tiger or GW. Our harbours are well know for massive sharks and more than a few people have been eaten swimming in South African harbours.

Hal, the what we’re you thinking story is a pretty common mistake made by fisherman. Not exactly the same, but similar. Many fisherman catch sharks and bring them on the boat and nuts around with them. I seen a guy get bit on his face by holding it to close and being a smart ass. One time my son brought a thresher shark on the boat. Well, their long tail is like a whip as they thrash it around. He was lucky he didn’t get bit, but tail slapped him in his face and under his eye Needles to say he had a nice bruise left behind on his face. It could have turned out much worse. He was lucky. I will no longer let anybody bring a shark into the boat. My point is many recreational fisherman mishandle sharks.

Also, I haven't seen (or if you have, maybe you can direct me) a segment on the migrants who died, Oct. 7, 1987, attempting to get from Death's Head Beach (rather appropriate) Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic going to Puerto Rico. Somewhere around 100, mostly women and children, were taken by sharks. I remember watching this on tv. Viewers saw sharks flinging people into the air, and attacking them. However, I cannot find this video footage.

We use to vacation in ocean city Maryland when I was a kid and we would be in the water for hours high tide low tide didn't matter we were in it .I was always told the sharks don't come here .why? Haha now that I'm in my 50s and i can't believe we never once had to be removed from the water due to a shark or never saw one .I live in Boston and I would never swim in the waters around the cape or Maine or new hampshire.nope no way to many white sharks...and now that I've seen that video of that guy in Australia Im just done with the ocean..I don't get people that swim in the ocean these days .love your channel...

The shark said "You want to eat me, I don't think so, as it clamps down on his neck. I bet he doesn't do that shit anymore 😆
