I never knew about that island or the film. Looks a decent place to camp with great views of Coniston fells. The Stratosphere is a good bivy for certain types of camps, like bug infested places or in the hills where it would be too windy for a tarp and bivy bag. I only sleep with the stratosphere zipped up when its raining as its a bit claustrophobic otherwise. During colder weather I'm like you and prefer the army bag with a tarp. The Tahiti kayak is ok but mine punctured because I stored it folded for a long period of time which weakened along the fold line so its recommended to store partially inflated. Your video has inspired me to repair my kayak, even if its just for a paddle up the Wanney and retrieve the fishing tackle out the trees because I'm cheap lol..

What a quality camp spot, nice one, I just looked up the journey time for me and it's a 6 hour drive!! One day maybe... one day. You shouldn't of told people where it was though LOL... everyone will be going there now. Including me one day 😁 Really enjoyed it. Lee

Great video mate. Great location. Did you know that swallows and amazonses island was used in a film. I forget the name of the film. But it was in a film. Film. And did you know Malcolm mclaren recorded the song “bluebird” there ? Did you know all this? Well? Did you? No. Thought not. I like the boat. I need a boat 🚣‍♀️ dry camp? I know Donald Campbell met his doom near there ,but didnt know abt the song and the film ,it was a last minute thing ,so the research was a bit limited .but yeh great little spot ,well worth a look ,you could get a hundred people on here and still keep social distance ATB Paul

Mancamper66 Donald who now? It’s well known but I’ve yet to see a KZbin camping vid there. Just looking at the snugpack. Then decided it’s like a coffin. Dunno how damo kips all night in his. The ullswater island is my mate rabs favourite location he’s been Ower there a few times. It’s definitely summick I’d like to try. I’m actually the real old man of coniston. Me.

Well the Blue bell didnt break any speed records but got me back safely so it wasnt a blue bell end . Your right abt the snugpack I found the zip a chow on and Damian can sleep through oot .
