August 2 is the Mahasamadhi day of revered Kriya Yoga Guru Swami Satyananda Giri. Swami Satyanandaji experienced seventy-four years of an amazing spiritual life that included the companionship of Swami Srijuktheshwarji as his Guru, Paramahamsa Yogaganandaji as his best friend, and Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji as his disciple whom he initiated into a higher level of Kriya. He also spent time with many great sages and saints of his era. Swami Satyanandaji is a beloved Guru in a long and unbroken lineage of Masters starting with Babaji Maharaj and including such spiritual giants as Yogiraj Shri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahashaya, Swami Shriyukteshwar Giri, Shri Bhupendranath Sanyal Mahashaya, Paramahamsa Yogananda the author of Autobiography of a Yogi, himself, and Paramahamsa Hariharananda. Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji is the current Guru in this unbroken lineage. He travels world over teaching Kriya Yoga and how to practice spirituality in daily lives. His teachings cover a broad expanse of spiritual topics which include yoga, meditation, practical spirituality and also deep metaphorical interpretation of Vedanta and many scriptures like Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutra of Sage Patanjali, Durga Saptashati, different Upanishads. Friend, there are a few scientific reasons behind spiritual matters and the saints. Not removing hair frequently, leads to cleanliness. Who said it is not cleanliness. Only thing it should not be so much grown.
