Very nicely explained by Swamiji with heart-touching examples and the most appropriate Upanishadic Mantra that supports our day-to-day experience. In the material world, since no two person's temperament completely matches each other and all the worldly relationships are self-seeking in nature, we cannot find a person whom we can call our soulmate. To answer your question about the perfect soul mate. I do believe that women I have dated in this lifetime are very familiar and that we have been in relationship before and may again in future lives, but like me they are imperfect and perhaps we are helping each other work towards that perfection together. I agree a perfect soulmate is the divine and not of this world. I think there is connection of God, the person whom I love in this world,and I, but I don't know for sure what that ultimate relationship is. Personally I felt like I had fallen in love with the one who I thought was my soul mate, but alas we are not together. Could I have been wrong? Perhaps. Or it something more complicated in the dance of God and the universe?
